Sitcoms

i can proudly say i have never watched an episode of friends
love the simpsons though

I still don't get Fraiser being any sort of comedy.

It must be upercrust society comedy, high brow stuff.

Married with Children and The Simpsons.

I usually hate the shows about some washed up standup comedian gets there own show.

I like Everybody Loves Raymond and Frasier. Seinfeld was good at the start, but I detested the last few seasons. I also hated "Married with Children" and Three's Company:)

My favorite older sitcom was Perfect Strangers. I've recently seen some re-runs and they still make me laugh :)

Non-sitcoms: I like The Practice, and Boston Public. I also like (don't laugh!) Roswell. That last one is VERY underrated.

..Lavender, you like that show?

If I even begin to hear that whistle from "The Andy Griffith Show"
..I'm just absolutely affected with nausea.

*smiles*

My favorite sitcom is "Absolutely Fabulous"

My favorite older sitcom has to be "The Addams Family"

Fave all time sitcom is MASH

Fave older sitcom is Wings

Sitcom I detest is Seinfeld

I watch Friends all the time and love the new Whose Line is it Anyway.

Gotcha!

Ahh....kinda like my soft spot for "The Rifleman"

My Dad loved that show..he'd come get me and ask if I wanted to sit on the couch and watch it with him..cuz no one else would..

Yeah..some shows do that to us for sentimental reasons.

What is your favorite sitcom of all time? Tied with "Friends" and "Will & Grace"

What is your favorite older sitcom? Mash & Wings

What sitcom do you absolutely detest? Frasier

Hey, you must be close to my age! I remember my dad coming home from work and we'd watch "The Rifleman" too! Wasn't Mark the son's name? Always liked that kid.

I loved the original Designing Women. I still watch the reruns on Lifetime.

Currently...I'm a Will and Grace fan.

I rarely watch sitcoms. I'm a one-hour type gal! But I like Absolutely Fabulous (theres going to be more episodes!!)

Sometimes I watch The Simpsons too.

I LOVE Seinfeld. That show is HYSTERICAL!!!!! I also used to watch "Friends." Although the Ross Racheal flipflop got obnoxious after awhile, so I don't watch it now. I sometimes try to catch "The Simpsons," but with about 150 different channels, I forget.
Detest Veronica's Closet,(THANK GOD it was cancelled.)
Older sitcom-The only one I can think of is MASH

Call me an odd duck but I loved "Sports Night", writing that sharp may never pass this way again.

Of the choices available now, "Will & Grace" is pretty funny.

I can't stand "Seinfeld" or "Friends".

Current: Friends

Recent: Married with Children, Seinfeld, Living Single, Roseanne (before they got money), AbFab

Older: Family Ties, A Different World, Facts of Life

Old: The Jeffersons, All in the Family, MASH, WKRP, Sanford & Son, I Love Lucy

Detest: Everybody Loves Raymond, Designing Women, Kate & Allie, Get a Life, Small Wonder, It's a Living

The best: "Fawlty Towers", "Seinfeld", "Andy Griffith", "Dick Van Dyke", "The Bob Newhart Show". The absolute best was "All in the Family".

The worst: "Beverly Hillbillies", and all the bland series with the dumb titles and the overlit living rooms and cookie cutter kids like "Who's the Boss?" and "Diffr'nt Strokes" and "Family Matters" and "Silver Spoons" and "Facts of Life" and "Too Close for Comfort". Blech. But the absolute zero is "Saved by the Bell".

Make 'em laugh, make 'em laugh, make 'em laugh...

The ones that would regularly make me laugh until I couldn't breathe:

All in the Family - the all time best, if I just had to choose
Fawlty Towers
Married with Children
Coach
Designing Women
Home Improvement

but if I see just one more "Boy Meets World", or anything with the Lawrence brothers in it, I'll...I'll...I'll just ram my head into that wall over there.

fav's just cuz it brings back memories of any time spent with dad.

-Nightcourt
-Cheers
-Perfect Strangers
-and the one w/ Bob Newhart, but it wasn't the 'Bob Newhart Show'.. it had Larry, Darryl and Darryl in it, remember?
-Mama's Family

I know there are others, I'm just too pooped to remember.

As for current shows.. I don't have TV, but I've seen that new one w/ that dude from 'In Living Color' (right?) and he's a dad.. along with Tisha Campbell from 'Martin' (right?) as the mom. Funny shit.

My favorite sit-com of all time...that's EASY..

Parker Lewis Can't Lose.....that show was so funny and inventive.....endearing, original...
I once saw all the seasons back to back on USA Up all night when i was in College, I was so jazzed to see it again. I never saw them after and I wished I had taped them. It was a series that ended in grand fashion at the peak of it's creativity. Way too quirky and subtle and clever for a TV audience to embrace...

I don't watch TV much now, but I do like that show "Gilmour Girls".......after a couple of episodes.
