Sister/brother incest story won't open

Because someone has reported the story for being, one can assume, outside Lit's guidelines (under eighteen, is the first thing that comes to mind).

The site editor, Laurel, will review the story for content, and either let it pass, or return it to the author and give them an opportunity to revise the story, to remove whatever it is that doesn't comply with content policy.

The reporting function is one of Lit's ways for the site's users to do a bit of self-policing - not all content breaches get picked up on the first pass.

Or, the author pulled it down themselves without requesting for it to be deleted. That generates the same message.

Doing it that way means that they can re-up it in the future with all statistics intact.

Didn't know you could pull down your own story.

I thought the only way to do that was to ask Laurel for an 'Edit' (in which case, yes, it would show the moderator's approval note) or a full 'Delete' - in the latter case, isn't it gone forever?

I have one in this name that I pulled. It's still sitting there quietly in my "sent back" folder, where it's been for years now.

How did you pull it yourself?

I removed some early poetry submissions just after I joined - but I had to "resubmit" with a "Please Delete" note for Laurel.
