Sinegard Academy for the Wayward

Anybody have a plan.. Anybody at all?
Turning away as the orb exploded and lit up the room like a solar flare, M'Kael moved before thinking and shoved his sword into the Knight's eye slit. Once in it was stuck, metal on metal screeched as it went in, and now it didn't want to come back out.

A punch to the helmet as the Knight stepped back, and then M'Kael seized the undead knight's sword, which was still in its scabbard and wrenched it free, damned thing was probably cursed but it had to be sharper than his own.

Swinging hard he hit the knight's armor at the shield bearing elbow and went straight through like a hot razor blade through soft butter.

The shield hit the floor and warbled for a second as the knight bellowed in rage and pain from 2 major wounds, even though no blood was squirting, pumping, flowing or even dripping from the wounds.

The knight raised it remaining hand and spoke "sphaera flammarum ". Jerking to the side, he ducked around the knight as the fireball exploded on the wall. With the illumination in front of the knight it cast a shadow on the floor. And M'Kael vanished into it.

The Knight screeched in rage as it's own sword appeared, thrust upwards through it's foot from the shadow of it's own boot.

Ardeth only had two visible targets as it began to speak again, the dark energy coalescing as it utter it's Curse. "Cruciatus!" Jerking it's hand it hurtled the curse, and it's shield bounced up from the floor as M'Kael rose from under it, Held inverted He faced the knight as the pain curse was reflected back onto its caster.

Angela

Angela was able to regain her feet after the hellfire orb exploded. She looked over to see if Gem was ok. Gem’s burnt body lay face down on the stone floor. She was not moving. She looked to be in bad shape or dead.

Then she looked at M'Kael. He was actually doing well fighting the death knight.

The Knight screamed in pain as his own curse reflected back on himself.

“Not sure this will work” Angela mumble to herself, as she pulled up her sniper rifle. “This is not for close range” She grumbled. Then she fired and continued to fire at the knight. She fired at the knight's head. Hitting it each time. Each bullet punching a hole through the helm.

The knight was un-phased by the bullet attacks. It cast Staggering Smite and smashed the shield M’Kael was holding. If M’Kael did not jump away fast enough, the smite spell enabled the blow to pierce both M’Kael’s body and mind even through the shield.

Then the Knight turned and rushed Angela, smashing into her. The smite spell added to the impact.

“Fuck” Angela gasped in pain as she bounced off the catacomb wall. She saw Sterling floating near her.

“Sterling, do something!” Angela begged the ghost troll as the knight came to finish her off. Angela vanished in a puff of mist before the knight’s killer attack hit.

Sterling floated over to the knight and disappeared inside the death knight’s armor. Sterling was trying to possess the death knight!

M'Kael stepped back and moved to Gem, keeping on eye on the Death Knight as the ghost and the cursed knight battled inside the body. Not that he could do much to help either The Ghost or Gem.

He had no spells, he had no healing abilities or potions. Fuck he wasn't a god damned wizard he was a biker that liked to fuck chicks on pool tables. And had a knack for shadows.

"Can you do anything for her?" he asked Angela, Gem was the healer in the group, not them. "Maybe if you gave her some of your blood?" he suggested half-heartedly, looking around. Shit!? Had she been vaporized by the spell?

Shifting the stolen sword and shield in his hands he looked at the knight again before checking Gem. She looked dead, like perma-dead. Or a coma. If the ghost failed, he'd shadow port her to the medical wing of the school and hope they could heal her / save her life.

Angela reformed from mist, next to Gem and M’Kael.

The death knight stopped moving. Then spoke to M’Kael and Gem.

“What do you need me to do now?” The Death Knight asked

“Sterling?” Angela asked to make sure it was the ghost troll.

“Yes” The death knight replied.

“Can you do anything for Gem?” Angela asked.

The death knight’s hand glowed for a moment “She is not dead yet. But she is close to it”

“Can you heal her?” Angela asked

“As a unicorn, it would be no problem. But as a death knight, I can only stabilize her.”

“Well, do that then” Angela asked

“It will do a lot of damage to the death knight. The spell is called life transfer, some of his life force will be transferred to Gem. If the spell kills the knight, he will no longer be possessed”

“He’ll be dead. I say good riddance. He attacked us for no reason. Evil asshole!” Angela reasoned

“Ok” The death knight agreed and cast to the spell. A golden glow appeared over Gem and sank into her body. Some color return to Gem’s skin, although she was still knocked out and horribly burned. Black smoke came out of the death knight’s helm, but the knight remained standing.

“Shall we open more coffins?” Angela asked M'Kael.

M'Kael looked at her for a moment like she'd suddenly grown a dick and turned into the mad hatter. 'Are you fucking insane?' he pondered for a moment before he shrugged. "Sure, why not, I'm too old anyway. No reason to live forever when we can keep popping open the resting places of cursed knights. Maybe the next one will be a crazy Vampire and then You and them can have a feast on our remains." He said wryly before moving to a coffin and shoving it open.

"Why are we opening these anyways?" asked taking a peek inside to see if the latest corpse was animated or not. Hell at this point he was expecting a zombie, a undead werewolf, or a lich. Hell, maybe even his grand mama was down here having a nap, wouldn't surprise him at this point.

Fuck if he survived this shit, he was gonna stay in bed for a week, and fuck whomever was closest. Even if was Van or Angus, bet either of them had a tight ass. Been a while since he'd had a real virgin.

Setting the shield on the floor and resting so he could grab it fast in case he had to dodge out of the way with a quickness, M'Kael reached in and touched the chest of the corpse with the Sword tip. If the fucker sat up they were getting pierced.

After several prodding's he relaxed, slightly. "Just a corpse. I think. Nice necklace, and jewelry. Dead a hundred plus years. Still solid no bone decay, yet."

"Is it a friend of yours?" He asked Angela. "You've been around for a couple centuries, right? Do you know them?" He wasn't trying to be an asshole or mean. It was just his nature and right now he was pissed. Between The ward, the fire, the Kyton and Zombies in the previous room, the bright lights, and getting choked by a fucking female Knight he was over this shit. If it wasn't for Ravyn he'd already have turned away and walked out.

But when this shit was done, the Knights gear was his. And he'd kick anyone between the legs if they tried to stop him.

Angela

“See… nothing bad!” Angela gloated. “And no, I don’t know this person”

Then a ghostly woman floated out of the coffin.

“I… am Kali Cross!” The ghost announced arrogantly. When alive, she stood about five and a half feet tall weighing about 130 pounds. She appeared quite fit and strong. However, she was not quite a human as she had two small horns jutting from her brow and gave off a faint smell of brimstone. In a typical ghostly voice, she started to say, “I need your help… “

Angela remembered what Gem had read on the labeled to this coffin. “You are The Lost Curator?”

“Yes, you must help me to acquire the cup of shadows...” Kali Cross told Angela and M’Kael

“Do you know where the cup is?” Angela asked the ghost.

“In vault” Kali stated with confidence.

“How do you know?” Angela asked

“As a ghost have been in the vault, I have seen it there. But I can’t pick it up!” Kali wailed almost as if in pain.

“That cup might be evil… or at least be very valuable,” Angela pointed out to M’Kael. “I’m not sure we should let her have it”

Then an idea stuck her as a smile appeared on her face.

“Tell us what is in the vault.” Angela asked Kali.

“There are so many items."

“We are looking for… The devil's Coin, A Pair of Pirates Knuckle Bones, Hand of Glory, first Sexual Emission of a male Virgin, A cat's ninth Life, A Saint's Shield, Unicorn Horn and an Oracles Eye” Angela explained

“I’ll shall go look for them now.” Kali said and floated through the walls and into the vault room. About ten minutes later she came back out.

“The Coin, A Pair of Pirates Knuckle Bones, Hand of Glory, a Saint's Shield, Unicorn Horn and an Oracles Eye are all there.” Kali explained.

“M’Kael, I think I have a plan” Angela said “Sterling will return the death knight to his coffin. We close the lid. Sterling will leave the death knight’s body and enter the vault. I think once inside, the unicorn horn’s magical properties will allow Sterling to open the vault from the inside. We heal up Gem, grab the stuff and get out of here.”

“What about the cup… I WANT THE CUP” Kali demanded.

“We’ll give you the cup… we don’t give a shit about it” Angela said with a small smirk on her face.

“What do you think?” Angela asked M'Kael

"What do I think?" M'Kael asked. "I think we're all as mad as a Hatter on Samhain Nacht. But it looks like our best option Considering the last coffin is probably a lich that will be pissed off that we disturbed it's reading time."

"But I want the armor before she crawls into the coffin. It's better than the disguise, just in case there is something inside the room the ghostie didn't see or didn't mention."

"Why the fuck did she want such weird shit anyway?" M'Kael asked. "An oracles eye isn't going to be a gem; it's going to be an actual eyeball – probably in a jar. Cutting a unicorn's horn off would be cruel and vile especially if the unicorn was alive when it was done. And a Hand of Glory? Like serious fucked up stuff."

Shaking his head, he started working on the Knights armor, piece by piece he pulled it off. If he had to, he'd cut off the head and put it in a separate coffin and come back for the armor later, but Cavalier plate armor was durable as shit and better than the leather the normal guards and sentries wore.

"If I need therapy after all this shit, she's paying for it." M'Kael complained as he worked.

Angela

As M’Kael and Sterling took off the armor, Angela walked over and grabbed her one of her desert eagle hand guns.

“I’m taking one of the hand guns. Every encounter we had so far, has been at short range, I just think it is wise to spread them around.” Angela reasoned. She picked up Gem and carried her to outside the vault door. When she returned, Sterling was ready.

“Ok Sterling, can you get out of this coffin once we seal the lid?” Angela asked

“I don’t think so” he advised her.

“Ok, we’ll leave the lid cracked. You get out fast and then we’ll seal it. In case, that death knight gets out… you head straight for the vault. M’Kael and I will hold it off… Kali too” Angela instructed the ghost.

“I’m not helping…” Kali said.

“Don’t be stupid, if we die… you won’t get the cup.” Angela said to Kali.

The possessed, unarmored, death knight got inside the coffin and M’Kael and Angela lifted the lid in place leaving a small crack.

“Ok… NOW” Angela said. A second later Sterling floated away from the coffin. Angela and M’Kael sealed the lid and ran to the vault door. Sterling was already inside.

Then there was a crashing sound from the catacombs!

“HURRY UP STERLING!” Angela yelled as the death knight came into the circular hallway. Angela emptied her hand gun into the unarmored knight. The much bigger bullets were designed to stop people. Each time Angela hit the death’s body, it pushed the creature back a foot, and ripped huge holes in its body.

Then the vault door opened and a real unicorn came out! The bright light was no longer on. The vault had beautifully decorated walls and an impressive vaulted ceiling. It was piled high with all sort or rare and odd items.

Pulling Gem into the vault, M'Kael looked at the others. They wouldn't make it. Not in time, not unless the Death Knight was slowed or stopped. Grabbing the magnum from Angela and the one he still had he stepped out of the door. And walked towards the Knight, each pistol booming as chunks ripped from the figure's body. But he wasn't firing wildly. Kneecap. Elbow. Shoulder. Kneecap. The fucker was regenerating but it was taking time.

"Close it, I can 'port in. If the Ward is down." He commanded as he holstered the pistols and pulled up the shotgun. They really should have gotten the stuff blessed before they went on this Bullshit road trip.

Shoving the barrel in the Knights moth he pulled the trigger and blew it's head clean off. Shards of bone and hair showering the room in dust.

With the Knight slowly repairing itself he ran over and shoved the door closed. Reloading his weapons as fast as he could he dropped a few bullets in his haste.

"Lets see if my swordsmanship is worth the cost of the classes," he quipped as he drew the blade. He could see some writing on it, not unusual, but it seemed to be glowing as he faced Ardeth.

The first mistake was when Ardeth grabbed the blade, she'd worn the armor for so long she'd never considered not having it on. The fingers of her hand were sliced open as M'Kael stepped close, the second was allowing him to get so close. The shield slammed into her skull an snapped her neck backwards as several vertebrae were pulverized to dust.

The third mistake was not being aware of her position. Knocked back into her coffin M'Kael shoved the lid back on, a swing from the sword removing her offensive arm. Rolling over the coffin he grabbed The Unicorn's coffin lid and lay it on top of Ardeth's.

Pausing for a breath he turned to face a motion and got grave dust in his face from the loose hand. "Fucking bastard," he snarled pinning the hand to the floor with a boot.

The soft sound of a foot scuffing on the floor made him roll to the side as a silver disk cleaved the air where his head had been.

Looking up he saw Nail face, and three of his associates. One was a really hot chick with huge firm tits. Unfortunately, she looked like she was halfway through an autopsy. Her scalp was peeled open to show her skull, her throat was sliced open and the skin was pinned back She could probably take a dick in that opening, M'Kael thought.

And her chest was peeled open to the rib cage, thin strands of a wire held the skin flaps back. She was as pale as a vampire, which was accented by the glossy black leather and red lipstick she wore. Hell, the openings in her body were shiny with fresh blood. Her hand twitched as the whip she bore lashed out, the fine barbs slicing the air before they hit the shield.

The Engineer manipulated the box and the tunnel to the zombie pit vanished, like it had never been. "Give us the girl, and you will be rewarded."

"Which girl?" M'Kael asked keeping a wary eye on them. They were separating as he spoke with The Engineer. Trying to get side advantage, obviously.

"R'v'n Nyght Sh'd," the Hell Priest sighed, almost like her name was orgasmic. An Image appeared in M'Kael head of his sister, naked and laying on a bed ready for his hard cock to fill her. Her hands played with her tits, the curls between her legs were shiny with her lust.

"Why?" M'Kael asked, information was a wonderful thing, and they desperately needed more information.

"Don't know. Don't care. Paid in Obolus. Failure not an option. We will have the girl and she will experience such fantastical delights."

"Who paid you?" M'Kael asked. He didn't hear the answer as the slender companion, threw something, a silver disk thick as a hair and spinning like the devil himself. M'Kael jerked the shield, deflecting the disk, but it still when through the shield and skimmed across the armor. It hit like a God Gun. And probably, no definitely, it broke a rib. Maybe two.

Grunting M'Kael lifted the shield again, which took more effort, as the last companion belched.

"Fire? Serious? Do you fart noxious fumes and shit turd bombs as well?" M'Kael quipped, Damned that shield was hot. Like starting to glow hot.

Taking a step back he forgot about the hand he'd been holding down with his boot. It instantly grabbed his ankle, stopping him from moving his ankle properly.

Falling M'Kael flexed inwardly and fell into the shadow of Ardeth coffin just as the lid from Sterlings coffin was jostled to the side.

Fuck this shit was just getting worse.

Dropping from the ceiling onto his back on top of a large box, he grunted. He hit like a brick an rolled to the side. Popped a few things back into place during the impact, which was nice, but he popped a few things out of place as well.

"Why is this shit never as cool as in a movie?" He asked, hauling himself back to his feet. "We have company outside so that's not the way out. Nail face is back and brought friends. Whip girl, an assassin with razor blades, a fat fuck that belches fire. Oh, and the tunnel to the Zombies is.. just gone."

"Do we have everything?"
he finally asked, his teeth clenched together as he waved off healing "Save it for later."

The Quick Way Out

As M’Kael reappeared inside the vault and the others were just finishing up packing the items.

“You sure you don’t need healing?” Gem asked M’Kael. Gem was totally healed. She was tying a small bag around Sterling's unicorn neck.

“Sterling is one handy unicorn. He used some powerful healing magic on Gem. I’m glad too, because Angus would have killed us if we brought her back all burnt up” Angela explained. “Sterling is also our ride out of here. He can teleport 3 of us, 1 mile from here. Hopeful that is far enough.”

“YOU PROMISED ME THE CUP!!” Kali the ghost yelled

Angela picked up the cup walked over to Kali

“Are you sure about giving her the cup?” Gem asked

“Yes” Angela replied with total confidence. “In order for you to possess the cup… someone must give it to you” Angela told the ghost “Here… it’s yours” she said and handed the cup to Kali.

In that moment, Kali grabbed the cup. She was solid enough to hold it. But then she screamed “NOOOOOOOOO” and faded away to nothing. The cup falling to the floor.

“Once you solve the reason a ghost is stuck… they continue on their journey of death. Have fun Kali…” Angela laughed.

Then M’Kael, Gem, Angela, and Sterling disappeared.

They reappeared a mile from the castle. the sky was still featureless. Everything still looked as if the color had been leeched out.

"M'Kael leads us out of here" Angela asked.

As Gem was moving towards the Ghost with the cup M'Kael swept his hand across a shelf, scooping up a dozen Rings, Gems, and other small items. He didn't take the time to read the cards, though it would have made identifying them easier.

Shoving them into a small bag he grabbed from another shelf and throwing them in with whatever was already in there he spotted a couple attractive daggers and a sword so he grabbed them as well.

Looking over at the group as he buckled everything in place, he looked like a rather crazy mercenary with more weapons than sanity, but the door shook and started to turn opaque.

"Um.. we need to go... now!" he said.

A moment later they teleported to a somewhere within the landscape of the Shadow Realm.

"M'Kael leads us out of here" Angela asked.

"Easier said than done,"
M'Kael replied as he looked around. Off in the distance were torches. "Intruders?" M'Kael mused.

"Thier route in, our route out. Or at least an exit point. Do I need to shadow walk the Unicorn as well?" He asked as he started jogging in the direction of the torches.

As they got closer it became obvious it was a military encampment. Thousands of soldiers around hundreds of campfires. The armor indicated they were human, with some drow mixed in. Damned a lot of money was flowing for those two groups to work together.

Thier path in was obvious from the wagon, horse, and Riding Lizard as well as at least a hundred Cavvekans, the Drow version of a dog. Looking at the encampment he realized most of the humans had inferior armor and weapons. They were dressed more like townsfolk than soldiers. A few were very well armed and armored. But not nearly enough. One of the Drow was moving through the crowd riding a very fucking big spider!!

After a rather disgusted shake he eased back from his position and spoke quietly with the others. "Drow war party, human slaves. Probably from a raid. they look like townsfolk, we'll go around, and use the path they made to find the weak spot and shadow port out. At a weak spot I can get everyone out in one go." he told them. "Any questions?"

Tough Moral Choices

“Sound good” Angela agreed

“What? Wait those are people. We need to free them.” Gem argued

“You, we, don’t have enough fireballs. Next time, we bring that grenade launcher. It would have added 32! But we don’t have it” Angela countered

“We’ll think of another way. We have to try. If you were one of those people… you’d want us to try” Gem continued to argue.

“Gem… this is not some story on Literotica. There are too many drow. Our priority is to save Ravyn and kill that fuck face with nails in his head. That is all the “good” we can accomplish right now. Sterling, tell Gem that sometimes the good guys have to make tough moral choices and pick who they are going to save.” Angela asked the unicorn.

Sterling neighed in agreement with Angela. He had not spoken since becoming a unicorn. He did speak to everyone using telepathy. “I agree with Angela, this is not some story on Literotica! Being good is about making the best choice possible. Sometimes that is between two bad options. Also I have a spell that can help us. “Pass without a trace”, if you all stay within 30 feet of me, we can sneak out of here and no one will notice”

“M’Kael, let us know when the time is right” Angela asked. She gave Gem a look that told her the discuss was over.

Moving back to the vantage point he watched the group, hoping they were getting ready for bed, but instead it looked more like a staging area. They were just regrouping and getting ready for the push forwards. But why? The Castle was at least a mile away.

Whatever, not his problem. As he watched the shadows flowed over him, blending him into the ground making it harder to see him.

Noticing movement beyond the camp, and off to his left he watched for a second before returning back to the group. The stuff of shadows clung to him like a cloak, or acape, blending him with the darkness and the shadows.

"We go now. Shadar-kai patrol incoming. Stay close, Sterling will you let the girls ride your back? It will be faster, and it's not meant as an insult. I'd carry them but it would slow me down a lot."

Moving he gave the camp a wide berth, slowing and dropping to his knee on occasion as he watched an outlying sentry.

One was to far out, and too much in the way to go around or wait to pass, so M'Kael slipped from one shadow to the one behind the sentry. Grabbing him, he pulled him back into the shadow.

Reappearing a moment later, alone, he guided the group around the encampment. Just as they found the wagon tracks the Shadar-kai attacked the Drow.

"Run with a quickness," he commanded. He watched the trail and skipped ahead to check the path, keeping the group together until they hit the end of the line.

A post had been pounded into the ground and a sign had a word carved into it, from a dagger most likely 'Avernus'.

"Ok, everyone ready for this?" He said as he rested both his hands on Sterling's flank. "Girls grab my arms, I don't want anyone left by accident and I never done anything this big before."

Closing his eyes he pulled on the image of the Professors House, the way it looked at Twilight with the back in shadow and shade, the cool calm air touching neither the leaves on the ground or the branches overhead.

A sharp pain hit him in the back, and he grunted in surprise, but they were there. The sun was beginning to rise giving a marker of how long they'd been gone in the Material world.

Reaching back, he felt his back, his fingers touching something hard and long. Unfortunately, he knew it wasn't Angus' cock. Either a Drow Crossbow bolt or an Arrow, probably a bolt to pierce this armor, from the feel of it's thickness.

Fuck it had gotten cold fast. Was there a blizzard coming? Falling to his knees he couldn't breathe, like a giant was sitting on his chest. He watched as a Murder of Ravens watched him from the tree's.

Was that a sunrise, or a sunset? Angus sure was heavy. Why was he squeezing his chest so tight from behind though? The horsey had pretty sparkly hooves. Would Ravyn want a Raven's feather in hair?

"Ravyn," he gasped/mumbled as he face planted in the mud.

Gem and Angela

The trip back to the professor’s house was similar to when they entered The Shadowfell. There was a slight feeling of vertigo, then they were in a different place. But they did not arrive in the closet where they departed. They were outside the professor’s house.

Then M’Kael gasped “Ravyn” and fell face first in some mud.

“M’Kael!” Gem exclaimed and slid off Sterling’s back. She saw the crossbow bolt sticking out of his back. “He’s been shot!”

“Crap” Angela said in frustration, thinking they had made it out of The Shadowfell unharmed. She also slid off Sterling and joined Gem next to M’Kael. She was careful to keep her back to the rising sun.

“His breathing isn't good and his face is turning pale and his lips blue” Gem told Angela.

“I’ll get the bolt out. Then cast a healing spell on him” Angela told Gem.

“I think he has been poisoned” Gem added while Angela quickly pulled off M’Kael breast plate. When her hands were exposed to the sunlight, they started smoking. Angela ignore her own pain and continued to work to save M’Kael.

“Aren’t you going to pull it out?” Gem asked in alert as Angela got ready to push the bolt through M’Kael.

“It is most likely barbed; this does the least damage. His right kidney and lung are punctured.” Angela explained to Gem. “If you still with us M’Kael this is going to fucking hurt” she informed him. Then she pushed the bolt through his abs and carefully grabbed the tip and pulled it all the way out.

Gem cast her healing spell. The white glowing magic sealed up M’Kael wounds and stopped the bleeding. But M’Kael still was not breathing.

“Sterling… I’m not sure it was enough. Can you do something?” She asked the Unicorn.

"He has been poisoned with Black Lotus Extract.” Sterling said telepathically. His eyes turned golden and traces of a golden foxfire flickered around his horn. A golden cloud of what looked like dust formed and settled over M’Kael. It was hard to describe what happened next but it was almost as if the dust was actually pulling the poison from his body.

Sitting up M'Kael realized he wasn't in pain. None at all. Up ahead were some people bickering. As he got closer he spoke up. "Excuse me," he said interrupting the two rather strikingly beautiful women.

The right one looked at him and raised an eyebrow before replying. "Not now, Adults are speaking," she admonished him.

The one of the left, Dark of clothing and dusky of skin with Black Feathers in her hair. Or was her hair black feathers? Spoke, "I've already laid claim to him some years back when he stumbled upon my realm by happenstance. I claimed him and gifted him. He's mine." Damned he'd fuck her all night and let her stick a feather in his ass while they did.

"Ah, yes you gave him a gift but he hasn't pledged himself to you, nor can he since he's already mine. He never accepted your gift, nor fulfilled your task. As such, as soon as he dies, he's mine." Looking over at him the pale pale beauty with Whitehair and eyes and the reddest red lips he'd ever seen smiled at him. He'd fuck her for an eternity and still not be done. "And that will be any moment now, any moment at all."

"What?" M'Kael asked, confused as fuck. Blinking he looked at the two women and what was beyond them. The left one had a dragon? Made of shadow? And the one on the right, was that a... Dracolich?

"Shh," The Bird lady said with a smile that made his cock hard as a pipe.

Grunting M'Kael grabbed his chest, it felt like a spear had just been rammed through him, or he was giving birth to an alien in his chest.

"Fuck," The white-haired witch snapped as M'Kael vanished. "Interlopers!"

The Raven-haired women just smiled knowingly.

Gasping as his back arched a good foot off the mud and grass his jaw popped in a soundless scream. When he dropped back to the ground he was breathing normally, but he was ashen like he'd aged a decade or more. The hole in his chest and back were gone, not even the residue of a scar.

"Fuck!" he groaned. "Anybody get the name of the building that hit me?"

Grunting he rolled to his side slowly as he worked on getting to his feet. "Damned. Feels like I went dozen rounds with a half giant, all night long. Did we get everything we needed?" He asked as the shadows suddenly deepened as if a cloud had moved between the sun and the earth.

Angela and Gem

Angela and Gem pulled M’Kael to his feet and helped him walk into the professor’s house.

“You’re back!” Angus said with excitement, then he saw the unicorn following them in. “And you brought a friend” He added.

“M’Kael, are you ok?” Van asked standing up as he noticed Angela and Gem helping him M’Kael walk. M’Kael waved Van off.

“He almost died… that is all.” Gem answered Van's question.

“As far as what we got…” Angela said pulling the small bag off of Sterling’s neck. “The devil’s coin, A Pair of Pirates Knuckle Bones, Hand of Glory, a Saint's Shield, and an Oracles Eye”

“We are still missing … first Sexual Emission of a male Virgin” Angela explained looking at Angus “and a cat's ninth life” She finished up. “Oh and we rescued Sterling, this unicorn, from shadowfell”

“Where’s Ravyn?” Gem asked

“She is in the kitchen, making preparation for the spell” Angus explained.

Shifting to a chair M'Kael nearly collapsed in exhaustion. "I think that bastard fucked me up with his crossbow. If' it's the poison I think it is, it's gonna take a few days. Unless you can whip out a 4th Level Restoration spell? Are any of you strong enough for that?" M'Kael quipped.

And I'll wait the week it takes to heal if it means selling the stuff we got or waiting." He said though he looked ready to pass out again. "Where can we find a male virgin?" He asked giving Angus a look.

"Anybody know where we can find cat?" he asked with a smile, "I can shave a few lives off one in a hurry."

Scowling Ravyn stepped into the room. "No torturing cats or any other animals to get what's needed. Bastet, the Goddess of Felines, or one of her servants should be able to help."

Walking over she looked at what the group had collected. "Thank you," said before giving Angela and then Gem a kiss on the cheek. Stroking Sterlings jaw she sighed and looked sad / melancholy. "I don't know how to thank you enough."

Looking back at M'Kael she scowled. "I know how you'd liked be thanked, but that's not happening."

Gathering the items she turned and headed for the kitchen, the short black skirt lying dead in the air as she moved. "Van is out, getting some things. Armour plating, I think he said. Oh, Angela and M'Kael need to pay for replacement of his... Shocks and Leaf springs. Apparently, you fucked the life out of the last set. I'm not sure if he's joking or was just irritated it wasn't him doing the fucking."

Rolling the coin across his knuckles the Rogue snickered, this was the easiest job he'd ever had, even if it was the weirdest. Go in, steal a coin, get out. Don't combat the dragon. Like he'd want to face a fucking Ancient Red!

He'd almost turned the job down until his pay was doubled. And it didn't matter which coin, as long as it came from the dragon.

Being forced to strip naked an get searched before going in had been rather unusual, but for this amount of money he'd have sucked the guys dick and let him stick a wand in his butt.

Crossing the threshold of the cave and transitioning into the valley he shielded his eyes from the light. The contractor sat on his horse, and the creepy aura kicked in again.

The Horse snorted and snapped at him as he approached. Damn were those fangs? He shuddered as he jerked away.

"The coin?" The man asked, holding out his hand.

"My payment?" The Rogue asked.

Untying the saddlebags, they fell to the ground. "Saddlebags of Holding." The Contractor informed him. "Your payment plus a bonus."

Hefting the bags onto his shoulder the Thief placed the coin in the man's hand. "One coin from the Hoard of a Ancient Red, no combat, it doesn't even know I was there. Though I'm fairly sure from its size and coloring, it's older than that."

"You said this was Qoinnayth, The Lifetaker. But they are supposed to be in Wayreth, a thousand leagues from here." The Rogue commented.

"It doesn't really matter which dragon this is, does it?" The Man asked.

"No, job is done, and I'm paid. I just like accuracy is all. Each Dragon has certain skill sets and defense patterns. If I was forced to go deeper a difference could have cost me."

"Then perhaps you should have done more research if it mattered that much."

"Next time I will. Just curious, do you know which Dragon this actually is?"

"Yes," The contractor said as he turned his mount and started walking away, the coin secure on his person. "Chiarvud, The Dark."

The Rogue stopped and looked at the departing man. "What? The Blight? You sent me into the Blight's Horde? Fuck me! THE BLIGHT?!"

Fuck was the Rogue even paid? Dropping the bags to the ground he opened the side satchel and shoved his arm into his reward.

Jaws clamped down on his arms as the Rider paused "Took you longer than I thought it would," he said to himself as the Mimic made quick work of it's meal.

Scooping up the Saddlebag shaped mimic he reattached them and rode off.

Van drove in silence out to his fathers old house. He hadn’t been here in years but he thought it was the best place. He had suggested it to the group as a hiding spot earlier, but with it being off campus wasn’t really ideal, and perhaps now in hindsight, a little too close to the realm of the hells for some to be comfortable.

The newly restored and now armour plated van pulled up to the old cabin. Van took an old iron key from a chain around his neck. The door creaked open. It was dark and hadn’t seen use in years. With a flick of his fingers the fireplace roared to life and cast a warm, if haunting light around the place. He took a dusty bottle of bourbon from the cabinet and drank deeply from it. He went to the mantle and took down an old wooden box. He opened it and took the colt from its velvet stash. The blue steel was engraved with demonic and angelic texts. “… angel or demon… this thing kills them all”. He loaded the rounds slowly and spun the chamber. He also took from the mantle a single piece of chalk. “It’s time me and gramps had a little chat…the enemy of my enemy is … well… in this case … family” he muttered to himself as he drew the large pentagram on the floor.

Some time later he arrived back at the house. The others were inside still talking over their next steps as Mkael healed. He turned the knob slowly and entered. Silence fell over the room as he entered… horns first! Not a projection but REAL horns! He looked rejuvenated and slightly larger…he was shirtless under the jacket… more physical and muscular than before… his skin was a deeper reddish colour….his eyes glowed a brighter yellow… his teeth sharpened to the points….and WINGS! The thick black talons and hardened leather like wings folded behind him where he had cut slits into his jacket. But they rose behind him like an archers quiver. The colt was tucked in his trousers at the buckle, and a rather large and jagged dagger of bone was sheathed on the opposite hip. New weather style boots from the skin of some reptile but not anything recognisable… in this realm anyway.

“Ok… let’s go kill’s some shit!”

Just Before Van's Arrival

“Bastet, the Goddess of Felines, or one of her servants should be able to help." Angela whispered in an almost prefect impersonation of Ravyn’s voice… except there was a strong sarcasm to her statement. “I looked on my cell phone contact list, and did not see any gods! How about you guys?” Angela asked back in her normal voice, but still whispering

“Hey she was trying to help” Angus replied in a whisper.

“Guys, be quiet, Ravyn is just in the kitchen. You don’t want to hurt her feelings” Gem whispered back at Angus and Angela.

“Why? My feelings got hurt. Some of us don’t hang out with gods. She runs in difference social circles than I do” Angela snipped

“I know someone that might be able to help us with a cat’s ninth life.” Gem told everyone.

“What? You know a god too?” Angela gasped.

“No, just an ex-boyfriend” Gem replied

That was when Van returned

“Holy shit Van! You are bad ass!” Angus complimented his new look.

“I don’t think it was holy shit… more like devil shit” Angela corrected Angus comment.

“Hey, everyone, I think I know someone that can help with the cat’s ninth life. Who want to solve the virgin male problem?” Gem asked.

“Anyone ask Sterling? Unicorns are supposed to be pure, maybe he has never fooled around?” Angela asked.

Sterling neighed

“Now you are just bragging” Gem chided Sterling

He neighed again.

“Ahh, he’s had a LOT of partners!” Gem informed everyone.

“Ideas?” Angela asked Van and M’Kael

M'Kael
"Hey if there's going to be a cat fight, can it be in jello with bikini's, or nude, with pictures?" M'Kael asked with a weak smile. "Fuck I need a tanker of caffiene and sugar."

"What about one of the cat-folk, or magical Item. Isn't there aa sword, Nine Live stealer? Maybe?" he suggested from the couch. Looking over Van's new features he smiled, "I dig the wings and Horns. Going down the darker road of life?"

"At least I'm not the only one that thinks Ravyn's... uptight," He said changing his phrasing when he remembered where they were. Respect the Host even if you don't like some of the guests.

Ravyn
She was tempted to just stop doing what she was doing. She was doing this for them anyways. Yeah she was getting something from this, but if she stopped right here right now and just gave up she'd make them all happy. She'd just stop being herself, Ravyn would die.

The Other would win and it would be Hell on Earth. Why had she been so.. selfish. If she'd just died in that fire so long ago and not come back. But she'd wanted to live. So she'd.. made a deal. Gods she'd been so fucking stupid.

She hadn't quite understood the agreement she'd stuck, the terms and conditions as it were. The Devil was in the details. And she'd gotten fucked by that deal.

Yeah there was an out, but that wasn't really an option was it?

Van kind of smirked at Mkaels comment. He wasn’t wrong. “ Well… better the devil you know and all of that. As for the other stuff, I’m afraid extra lives and the like aren’t exactly in my forte… but at least now when there is a fight perhaps I’ll be a little more prepared, although that will have its price too eventually.”

He ducked down the hallway in search of Ravyn… “Well you’re looking better…how are you feeling?” He asked in earnest.

Ravyn
"I'm not dead," she sighed. "It's not allowed anyways." She added rather softly.

"Thank you for your assistance during this time It's greatly appreciated. I'd have gotten better on my own, eventually. But recovering quicker is rather pleasant. At least this way I can get about doing what needs to be done."

The nearly invisible lines on her skin, thinner than hairs almost seemed to make sense. Probably would if he could read the lnguage.

"Does anyone know where the last two items can be located? Though I would think that the First emission could be collected by anyone attractive and in the right locker room at the right time."

Nine lives

“I’m off to visit my friend. I think he can help us with the ninth life of a cat.” Gem told everyone.

“You want me to come along?” Angus asked.

“You can, but he is my ex. Please don’t get into a dick measuring contest” Gem warned Angus

“Don’t worry, he won’t” Angus replied “He’d lose”

“Anyone else is welcome to come along as well” Gem said as she rolled her eyes at Angus’ comment.

1 hour later

The wood nymph was exhausted …she had not been fucked like that in a long while. Her pussy continued to tingle as she spoke to the Leonin.

“Your path is not with me… it is across the lake. There you will find a trail. Follow it and it will lead you to people that need to see you.” She paused then added “I have healed your physical wounds … however some wounds are not physical, you shall need to come to terms with yourself and your actions.”

Grethin wanted to say something, like he had heard in those classic kung-fu movies, but he could not think of anything clever to say. “Thank you… kind spirit… for all that you have done” is all that came out of his mouth.

Grethin turned away from the Nymph. He had no particular place he was headed. Why not follow her advice? He gathered his supplies and walked around the lake. He followed the trail.

The nymph had been exactly what Grethin needed. Naturally, his wounds were healed, but also his carnal needs had been satisfied. At least for now. With any luck there’d be a farmer’s daughter or a soldier’s widow along his path.

Looking at his beefy, fur-fringed arms, Grethin knew how to fight. He had served as a “war lion”. But he got out and now he traveled around the country. He had a small backpack, pants, belt, and a hat. Aside from those items, Grethin – like the rest of his kin – lived unclothed. His chest, legs, feet, and tail went bare.

He smelled something salty and sweet on the air. Squatting down, Grethin smelled more. The air bore the whiff of “maleness”. “A bull,” the half-lion, half-man said.

It did not take long before he ran into his ex-girlfriend named Gem. She was alone.

“Gem?” He asked, not believing his eyes.

“Hi Grethin” Gem replied with a smile. “It is good to see you again” She added.

M'Kael
Looking over at Angus M'Kael smiled. "Any virgins on the team? What about the male cheerleaders?" Mostly he was poking fun at Angus, which was funny since if the Minotaur decided to smash him, he couldn't defend himself t this point. Maybe tomorrow, after he'd gotten some rest.

"I know most people don't go arund bragging about being a virgin, but anybody act, weird or unsual when the girl topic is brought up? Other than you. Unless you're still a virgin, but Gem made claims so I assume you're not anymore."

"What about going into town and finding the village diot? He's probably a 40 year old virgin. I'd say try a hayseed from a farm but they group up faster than the village boys."

Turning his gaze to Angela he smiled, "Hey do you know where Lorelei is? She's a succubus so she should be able to just tell if they are, pure or not. Would make this whole thing a hell of a lot easier."
