I understand where you are coming from. You are looking for a relationship. You would like to have someone to come home to everynight, to share your troubles and your joys with. I have been a active member of Lit since Nov. 2001 and this dream has eluded me too! My activitys now days with Lit are basically writing and have ol'e Lit friends to my place for cookouts. Good food, good friends, and good times! Lots of laughter and love... I gave given up on the dream of a true realtionship with a Lit member. Oh, and I don't cyber any more. Thank you for the kind words LeeLeigh... I have come to reside with the fact that if it hasn't happen in four years it isn't going to happen. The frustration was way to great. It is most definitely NOT worth all the aggrevation. Life in itself has so much to offer... Many like myself function very well with out a partner. To those that played me you have absolutely NO idea how great your lose. Something that is out of your reach now. Totally un obtainable! The concept is a great one. For me it didn't work. I never found my best friend and lover! In actuality I am much happier now...

This is the most depressing thread I have yet come across......LOL. As a newly divorced woman (since Dec. 6, 04) this certainly isnt the doom and dread I was looking to hear. LOL

I do understand though about not wanting to wake up alone....sometimes that is the hardest thing...other times, I think I am happier and better off on my own....it's really a toss up.

I have been sleeping single in a double bed for almost 10 years now. 3 of them because of a S.O. who was terminally ill and slept in a different bed, and the other remaining 6 + after his death.

There is another out there for me somewhere, but for now I talk, I listen, I laugh, I watch and I wait. And I am willing to take a chance, to step out on that limb and take a leap of faith. Well seeing your already depressed! That double bed is really a heated California king size water bed and will easily sleep six. Complete with mirrored head board, satin sheets, and multiple oversized soft pillows. Built in lighting and stereo. Numerous scented candles, incensed holders, and beautiful potted orchids. Now days it's main purpose is for sleep ... No tenderness there. I just figured if I had said sleeping single in a California king size bed that the wouldn't be a dry eye in the house....lmao

Hey don't worry -after the first three years it gets easier, here's a tip.. sleep on the sofa, it is small and feels better to lean against the back of it instead of a big old bed. Your day will come .
