What are the little (non-sexual) things that you don't indulge in often, but are guaranteed to lift your spirits?

Me:

Philidelphia Cream Cheese Snack Bars -- the raspberry ones
Driving my truck too fast on the gravel road. I hardly ever get to drive the truck and I looove it
Riding alone through the woods or down the river on my horse

I like to huff real pure vanilla extract, and rub mentol on my feet.

Oh, petting my kitties calms and soothes me too.

Cuddle up with my 3-year-old granddaughter, (yes, I said "granddaughter"!).

well...

...visit my sister and talk for hours.
...go shopping with my man.
...have a friday off and go swimming.
...have time to read a favourite book without the phone ringing all the time.

Walking through the woods on a gorgeous spring or fall day.

Reading, Reading, Reading...in that order:)

Shopping

Watching the sunset or sunrise..

to sit there watching queen live at wembly 86 without being interupted and no noise BLISS:)

Ahhhhh, the simple pleasures.....

Reading a book while my kitty is napping on my lap.

Sitting on the front step and listening to the chilren while they play in the yards near my home.

Making chocolate chip cookies and sampling the dough many, many times before baking.

Listening to my music without having to hear my son complain. lol

Sailing always give me pleasure

If there is no wind, I will drift out in sea and get lost in a good book.

Sundays...

when my wife lets me stay home and her and my daughter go to my inlaws so I can lounge around and watch the football games with out any interuptions!

My old fashioned claw foot tub filled to the brim with bubbles, a glass of asti spumante, a great book, and some lite music. I love to pamper myself.

Also I love to be tickled (not hard, but caressing tickling)....could do that for hours.

Going out to this one big warehouse store that I've rarely been to lately. When I go over there, it's just a lot of fun. Almost like a convention that's opened twice a week.

Closing the double doors to my bathroom and locking them....Then running HOT water in the tub...turning on some soft music, lighting some candles and soaking for at LEAST 2 hours!! No kids, No husband, no phones, no bills, and NO WORRIES!!!

:p

going down by the river, to just sit or bike
Drawing always does it for me, though i've been doing that alote lately
and recently anytime i get out of the house, (really get out, i don't mean go to the store or to my friends downt he street)

-Long hot bubble baths
-listening to my favorite cd, while reading a good book
-a long walk down by the river
-a quiet night at home watching a good movie
-drawing
-enjoying a good glass of wine
-long conversations with my friends back home in Calif.

*All of the above while the little one is sleeping*

... sleeping until I wake up on my own, then rolling over and sleeping some more;

... sipping champagne;

... reading, all curled up with a fluffy blanket;

... buying coral-orange roses for myself;

... chocolate -- any kind, any time, anywhere!

swimming at night...floating and looking at the stars

an unexpected letter from an old friend

looking through a photo album with someone special

slipping between cool clean cotton sheets for an afternoon nap
crunching through the fallen leaves

finding a comfy seat in the bookstore to read through your selections

sitting in front of a pottery wheel with the cool clay under your fingers

peeling an orange

brushing your lovers hair

blowing bubbles into the wind

finding money in your pockets after you've forgotten it

dozing in the hammock just after the lawn's been mowed

a full body embrace

long drives down a winding road to nowhere on a sunny afternoon

sitting on my porch at twilight and waiting for night to fall

Trout fishing

...and really not caring if I catch anything. Just enjoying the scenery and being null and void.

that I don't indulge in too often?

long lazy Sundays in bed with a lover

cooking a meal with a man

bubble bath with candles & BB King floating through the air

riding go karts with my son in Pigeon Forge

late afternoon - early night boat ride to watch the sunset with a bottle of wine & cheese with my Dad.

Long, steamy baths.
Cooking for friends and family.
Playing in the garden.
Hot cocoa at dusk.
Early mornings wrapped in a blanket, sipping tea.

So many things, really. I am grateful.

For myself

Walking in the rain in the spring and summer.

Watching as my infant daughter discovers the world.

Watching my daughter's expression as she tastes new foods.

Hearing laughter, anyones.

a thoroughly clean home, a fridge full of food, and a full gas tank on my car.

watching my children sleep, with that 'innocent angel' look on their face.

hearing said children giggle in their sleep.

bills paid, oweing no one.

taking a long hot bath, drying off, settling in a thick comforter on a soft bed.

walking in the rain

looking up and watching the snow fall on a peaceful morning

a fireplace, a cozy chair, and a book to read.

ahh...these special moments

getting a shot of morphine....
(always get tablets)
that's the true bliss right there.

Simple pleasures I dont get to indulge in very often???

A really good book that I just cant put down.
Layin on a couch or the floor, cudding (and nothing more) with the person in my life. (she has yet to come into my life :()
Driving.......its very relaxing. :D
And vanilla ice cream......
