The memory of a compliment from my coach at rugby training tonight.
The easy ache of well-worked muscles and the succour of a comfy chair.
A ham sandwich with slices of tomato and orange juice; a snack with so many memory associations of home.
A good slice of French Brie.

Life's pleasures are where you find them. Anyone else finding delight in simple things tonight?

The Earl

Petting First Kitty (my first own cat) and eating cherry danish from the French bakery down the road. It's not altogether a bad life.

Shanglan

I just snagged a tootsie roll from my young'un's candy stash - can't remember the last time I had one, and had forgotten how wonderful they are. :)

Go on my son! up and at em boyo.

Go and punch the world on the nose you'll feel all the better for it.

As for simple pleasures tonights was proper sausages in gut skins and proper traditional black pud with free range eggs and crusty bread with real butter. LUVVERLY OOH whats that funny paim in my aaarggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! clump.
:D

homemade chocolate chip cookies. And I might make an apple pie later. Why are all my simple pleasures food? :)

My pipe. The wonderful feeling of warm tobacco smoke rolling over my tongue.

My dumb-as-dirt bunny who loves me even though he doesn't like to show it.

And soon, bed. And that wonderful feeling of softness and comfort.

Now if I just had someone warm, snuggly, naked and female in there with me, my life would be complete.

As long as I'm wishing, I'd like a pony.

Closing the door tonight as I got home from work - ahhh all the weight just lifted off my shoulders.

Getting called a "Fucking fruit cake".

Feeling a bit pissed (as in drunk :p).

Laughing at nothing much in particular.

Feeling the tingles of arousal, through his shouty words, via email alone. :D

:nana:

:D

And anuvver :nana:

Snuggled up on the sofa watching TV with the cat in my lap - I tell ya there is nothing better!!

i delight in lunacy...very simple.

Listening to my eldest lad gigging at the local then coming home and finding my youngest son with his trachy partially blocked and hearing him shout for attention.

Swimming until my muscles quiver, a nice hot shower, and wallowing naked in clean, cool sheets…

Frozen pizza.

A tummy full of Thai Pad.

Fresh coffee with just the right fixin's

Hummus with warm pitas

Steak cooked just right

Biggie sized beer on a Friday night, right after work

Visions of a simple cotton dress that fits just right

Smiles that reach the eyes

Tears that frame the smiles

Hugs that last all night

Knowing I have only two more days until spring break.

Knowing I'll have the whole first season of Hercules on DVD to watch during spring break. :D

I guess none of my simple pleasures are immediate. I've got three tests in the next two days to worry about. :(

The mental image of Yui wallowing naked in clean, cool sheets.

My four-year-old son giving me a slightly sloppy kiss, and saying, "I love you, mama."

Green lights.

Deep, belly laughs.

Accelerators that twist.

Falling down the last three stairs and inciting a long, bubbly fit of laughter from my three year old, who still happens to think I am a princess and a super-hero all wrapped up in one.
