SIMA on the Road

As many of you may know, SIMA is on her way to Chicago to see her parents ( ) and get some of her stuff that is still there; and she didn't even come see me - the nerve. I got a phone call and was told that yes, she brought a cooler (and was eating jello like a mad woman), but she did not bring mace, she's wearing clean undies, but does not have a matching bra on...tsk tsk tsk.

So send her warm happy fuzzy thoughts, I have a feeling she's going to need them.

Did she go already? I was hoping to catch her before she left. I live here (Chicago) and wanted to offer help and traveling advice if she needed it (there's so much construction here now). Bummer, what's the chances that I'd actually get to be useful to one of the people on the Board, only to miss my opportunity .

Good wishes to her. I read that she was dreading this meeting, so I hope she's Ok. I always had such a good relationship with my parents, it's hard for me to even fathom a situation as tough as she described. Very sad . . .

She's doing well, the trip home went very well which is good for her. She's on her way home now (I'm lucky, I get phone calls).

And whoever said it would take her $300 in gas is wrong because it took $66 to get from Maryland to Chicago, just so everyone knows.

There's so much bad traffic here right now, they love to work on all the highways at the same time (just so we can all be equally inconvenienced. I really wish I would have had the chance to warn you. Glad all went well.

I play in bands and do sound for some of the better ones in Chicago. Give me notice and I'll let you know what's happening around town. The traffic will still suck , but I'll do my best to find you a decent route .

A couple years ago we drove from Maryland to Ohio, NEVER EVER AGAIN will we be that stupid!!

Got the Trip Ticks from CAA ( same as your AAA) and they took us on this dinky ass road through deer country and low and behold two huge female deer were standing with their butts towards us as we drove up at 50m/h while it was raining!

I hated travelling through the mountains, it didnt help we travelled at night, only because it took us longer than expected, due to traffic.

Just glad its over and learned something on the way, fly next time!

Speaking of Ohio, there's some psycho weather going on there....scary, almost unnatural thunderstorms, hail, and tornado warnings. That was a fucking fun drive, lemme tell ya....

Weird weather patterns the last few days.

Yeah, on the way there and back, we encountered awful storms, and upon finally driving out of them, we heard emergency alert warnings on the radio that there was to be "penny sized hail".....
