Signature Image Size Question

Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 500 by 100 pixels or 19.5 KB (whichever is smaller).

I've noticed that many people use a signature image larger than 500 x 100 and would like to figure out how they're doing it.

Are they resizing using KB instead of pixels? How large of an image does 19.5 KB produce? What program is good for resizing using KB?

I don't want a huge signature, but I would like the image to be recognizable.

They're hyperlinking it, instead of uploading it from their computer.

So, find the image you want, make it the size you want, host it online, then use the
