On my way out, I walk by a friends.

On his board, are the words, "Get out, Saudi."

When this happened last year, 10 of us had to set up shifts sleeping outside his door.

He happens to be a Saudi Arabian Student.

If this happened in Canada........

That kind of random, baseless persecuation happened everywhere last year. Even in this country in which we pride ourselves on not being hotheaded bullies, many people were attacked - verbally or physically. I was not too proud of being Canadian when I heard about things like that.

You know, it might well be worth visiting those who did this and letting them know in kind and calming terms that your Saudi friend is one of your own and harming him would be looked at very, very poorly.
