Sigh, a brand new story

I have had my latest piece finally accepted, it was doing very nicely this morning with 780 views and 46 votes.

That seems to have degenerated now, almost imeadiatly after I recieved feedback that said "Your stories got me off-thankyou" and all of a sudden, I looked again and have 3348 views with 48 votes.

Don't complain. You are doing fabulously compared to what I do. My most viewed story has almost 40,000 views and 65 votes. The most votes I have is 73 and this was from 30,000 views. That is about .24% percent or 2.4 votes per thousand views. You already have more votes than I usually get from ten times as many views. If you have your AV or a similar picture with your bio, that is probably one of the reasons for getting that many votes.

Well done on your story missie, don't let votes / views / score / feedback, either fool you or worry your sweet head, no one has yet made much sense or logical reasoning behind the figures and fluctuations.

Beware of overly glowing feedback, it's often from arseholes wanting to feel better or gloat about giving a 1 vote for spite.

All the views for my four stories COMBINED doesn't add up to 20,000....Hmmm....perhaps I need to rethink the picture....I must be scaring them away....

I dont usually care, But i also dont usually have the opportunity to watch as closely as i have today so it was a bit of a mild shock.

As for a pic...my profile doesnt have one.

I am also very lucky to get a great number of views and total votes. I suppose i should be flattered then because out of 5 stories, the lowest average i have is 4.07.

Anyhow, as I said, it wasnt a big deal, just something i noticed, and thanks for the support

There is no way to tell what story a reader will select. Probably at random within a favorite category but after that, who knows? I have an erotic coupling story that was posted on Aug. 6 and it has had 2,816 view and six votes. Another E.C. was posted May 7 and has 7,021 views. My most popular story in terms of views in a non-consent postedAug 6 also and it has 38,367 views and 60 votes. The most votes was on a First Time story that was posted July 1 and has 30,420 views.

Your picture certainly doesn't scare me away, WS.

I think E/C stories don't do well because there are so many of them. They probably have as many readers but the readers are spread out over so many stories. I understand that incest stories do the best but I have never written one. I will next month, as a sequel to my holiday story.

My most popular story in terms of views is a non-consent story but it is actually about role-playing non-consent. I make it very clear that the woman is completely willing and at the end of the story she is actually in charge. Most of my stories were written specifically for one of my readers and include her description and a description of what she likes to do and where she likes to do it. Amy, the woman in the non-consent is a real person and I wrote about her fantasy. I had fun writing it and she had fun reading it.

Others, who know more about how Lit functions than I do,
have posted that votes are updated as they arrive, but
views are updated only once a day.
Assuming that's true. Then your large increase in views
with only two more votes is an "artifact of the method of
measurement." That is to say, the two votes are two in
time between your two looks; the increase in the views
is a 24-hour difference.
