I got creative and wanted to test (and show off) a sig banner I made. Tell me what you think. It's the first one I've ever made, but don't let that stop you from offering constructive criticism.

I used Picture It! 2000, the GIMP, and Poser Pro Pack.

Feel free to use this thread to show off your own sig pics and/or avatars.

Its a decent first attempt. Its a bit busy and it probably would have looked better with a thin green outline, or an outline that helped draw the viewer's eyes to the nude woman first, and then to the greens and other messages of the whole banner. Anything rather than the muddy gray outline.

That's all that's left of the graphic artist in me from years ago. No more. I'm done. All empty now.

Here's another that I'm not really satisfied with. I like it except for the text. I can't seem to find a way to incorporate it to my satisfaction.

I like that one as well. Its not a bad piece of stand alone work without the the text, actually. Sometimes a piece that you think needs text to explain itself really doesn't. That's been something big with certain European perfume and cologne companies for years.

However, if you absotively, posolutely feel the need to add text to it, you may want to go with a thin "Blade Runner" type text along the bottom left corner. These guys have a lot of cool fonts that you can mess with:

The "Battlefield" and "Battlestar" fonts would also work well with that banner.

Wow, thanks for the link. I see a lot of cool stuff over there.

Thanks again for the feedback. I get a little bummed out after putting a lot of work into something and getting hardly any response. I guess I need to post more, but I feel repetitive by telling people I like something over and over. I also don't see much that really grabs me and inspires me to say something, despite the loads of quality work I've seen. Oh well.

Don't mind me. Just feeling a little down today.

You're only being repetitive if you keep showing the same piece of work over and over and over and over and over and over ... well, you get the picture (pun). :D

christ i would have given anything to have had my second sig look like that lol.
i'm not saying mine are good in anyway (not my bag blowing my own trumpet) but picking up knowledge of software takes some time.
did you try to make the first one transparent by any chance?
i'll look forward to seeing how your sigs progress :D and my own for that matter, lol
