Sienna's Music Lounge II

Sienna, just finished watching the 8th and final episode of Ken Burns' new documentary "Country Music" . . . I recommend this series for anyone who has enjoyed any element of country music, past or present!

A couple classics that were breakouts for the singer/song writer and/or shift in country music style:

Hank Williams (1945) - "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WXYjm74WFI

Brenda Lee (1960, at age 16) - "I'm Sorry" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGLR25EJtfE

Patsy Cline (1961)- "I Fall to Pieces" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iuZTk1hdpMs

Johnny Cash (1956 & 1964) - "I Walk The LIne" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lq0fUa0vW_E

That was an excellent series, investor.
Makes you appreciate country music more. Even if it isn’t one’s Favorite genre.

Hello, Siena. Long time...

Hello, Sienna. Long time...
Thank you Tallcajun :) You may already know that my music likes are on a broad spectrum, especially jazz thanks to my Mum who insisted I learned to play piano and clarinet at an early age. She also insisted on me taking dance lessons. I think she thought I would be some dancer and instrumentalist in show business :)

However, things did not work out that way. Even though I hated high school and did a bunk whenever the opportunity arisen, I still passed my exams in literature, science, music and math to discover by accident the secret society of adult pleasures ;)

Yes, and we’ve followed your tales, always ready to hear the next.

You do have one of the widest, ecclectic taste in music I have ever seen.
Please keep it up. It helps me discover new and old artist.

The Divinyls were an Australian rock band entering the music industry in 1980. I Touch Myself was released in 1990.
Although there is no official break up of the band up to 2013, there have been quite a few band members that have joined and left.
Band frontwoman since 1980 was Chrissy Amphlett (1959-2013) who died of breast cancer in 2013.
