Sick of internet explorer?

Firefox for sure - but you should go the whole way, ditch Windows and move to the Mac :)

Why drive a Ford when you can have a BMW?

Lots of reasons... but besides all the software and such... the main reason is that a top of the line mac costs $2999. That's with only 512mb of ram, and a relatively junk video card. To get those up to a decent level you are looking at another $600. That's not to mention a relatively low amount of hard drive space. Oh... and no monitor.

When it's all said and done, for that price, I could build myself a top of the line PC... with four times the memory, four times the hard drive space, and two top of the line video cards.

Macs are nice... and they are pretty... but I don't really see them as an option for what I am interested in.

But you get free shipping!

The Mac mini costs $US 499 - so cost is hardly an issue.

Personally I could not give a monkeys what the hardware is cos unless your running a network, editing video or rendering CGI most machines have plenty of power.

After 10 years of Windoze starting with win286 back in the old days - and having to use XP for work. MacOSX is a beautiful, refined, reliable OS.

Ah and yeah - I also drive a Ranger Rover, Own a Moto guzzi, wear beautiful clothes and have no masochistic tendecies :)

As far as Mac vs Pc goes the issue for me is always going to be software. Lets face it no matter the hardware comparisions Mac's have maybe one-third the software available for them that Pc's do.

That and well, having only 1 mouse button is like having only 1 nipple. You can live without it but do you really want to?

Interesting. I'm definitely going to check into this.
Thanks =)

The mac mini is fine if you just want to surf the web and do normal office tasks. If that's all you do... great. Yet I do like to edit video, use photoshop, play 3d games, surf the web, and many of those things are really common... I use my PC as my main entertainment center, hooked into my home stereo and hdtv. These things are becoming more popular, it's my tivo and all of that as well.

Anymore, with the options in PC cases, there is no reason whatsoever to be forced into an ugly case... there is a lot of crap out there, but there are some nice ones as well.

I really don't see where your SUV, motorcycle, or pretty clothes come into this... but that could just be me...

DougBTX: :D Shipping is about the only thing you will get free... they can't even give a warranty on their best machine...
