Ugh, again? God, I hated that music and in particular, that Usher. Or was it Kanye West again? Good grief, I was so out of loop over what was popular and what wasn't anymore.
But what else is new right?
I'm Ellie West - a twenty-one year old college sophomore. I was an odd woman, at least according to my younger sister; unlike most college students, who were using this time during spring break to drink, party and god knows what else, I was studying ahead for my finals. Which was funny, considering that I had the typical 'wild rebel' look across my face, what with the piercings on my face, tattoo sleeve on my arm and well...my big boobies.
Anyway...
My sister and I don't get along very much. Karen, the famous eighteen year old cheerleader, attends the nearby college and leads the cheerleader squad everyday. The reason why we never saw eye to eye is mainly due to the fact that while she tries, I'm dad's favorite.
There were many reasons why I was. For one, I wasn't one to talk back to my mom or dad. Then, there was the fact that I wasn't a smoker, drinker or had any troubling habits to speak of. Hell, I was still a virgin. Yep, I was such a sucker for my parents' affection that I planned to save myself for marriage...or at least, until I finished with my bacherlor's degree.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand - I was a bit annoyed of the fact that my sister was taking advantage of the fact that our parents were away for the weekend. I equally annoyed from the fact that I felt practically caged in here, going over my notes over and over again. I was hungry. It was my house too damn it - so why did I have to stay in here like some sort of animal?
I figured that I had the right to venture outside, at least for a glass of water. I also wanted to prove to myself that I didn't need my sister's permission to go to her stupid party; even if it was for just a second. With great caution (as if I was afraid of being caught) I opened my door and headed downstairs. So far so good, I guess.
