First of all, if we are going to be anal retentive about spelling, we should be equally as anal about punctuation and grammar, should we not?

When used in a sentence semi, unless referring to the 18 wheeled vehicle bearing that particular moniker, is always followed by a hyphen, as in semi-defending.

"You guys" is considered bad English. While technically allowable as standard English due to popular use, it does, nevertheless, show poor grammar skills.

Additionally, SHUT UP is bad English as well. It has also gained acceptance in mainstream English due to popular use, however, it is still slang, and therefore should not be utilized in any composition by anally retentive folk.

Secondly, I am wondering why I have the niggling feeling that Bobtoad and SHUT UP!!! are one in the same? Perhaps Fuck You as well?
