*lol* You don't know my daughter though.. she is amazingly intelligent for her age... I'd be afraid of her going to school using some of these lines

This movie is just to funny...I'm not a movie watcher.. but this one has my attention.. :D

I loved Shrek! I took my 5 year old to see it. I don't think young kids get the sexual innuendoes.

Santa is definetely buying this DVD for Christmas. :)

the gingerbread man.. lmao.. yes that was funny..

so were the little singing dudes

"shine your shoes and wipe your... " as they are bending over..

I almost fell out of my chair more than once on during this movie

oh right :)

It is a really funny film though :)

My fave bit is where Donkey invites himself to stay in Shrek's house and says;-

"We can swap manly stories all night, and in the morning, I'm making waffles !"

she has probably seen it at her sperm donors house anyway.. :D I'll probably let her watch it.. :)

If you have a DVd player or DVD-Rom drive you need this disc...

The extras on this disc are fantastic including a section where you can over dub a part of the action.

My kids, 3 through to 9 years old, loved it, but you are right... the sexual inuendoes went right over their heads. Thank god.

I bought it on VHS.. and DVD.. DVD can't be seen yet ;) (as far as my husband knows.. WE DON'T HAVE A DVD PLAYER)

Get my drift? :D

Oh my fucking god!

The end of this is so funny

The extras.. the donkey singing "i like big booties".... Robin Hood singing "YMCA".. female ogre singing "Like a virgin"...

LOL And what about the Big Bad Wolf singing "Who Let the Dogs Out"? All of that extra footage at the end was a great bonus to an already fun movie.

I can't believe that Disney advertised this movie for children!!!:)

I thought that parts of it were hysterical, but every once in a while I had to wrinkle my nose at the potty humor.

No WAY would I let children see this.
I felt awkward watching it with the younger bro. LOL

;)

Psst. Hey, BB? Now, I could be wrong here, but I'm almost certain that Shrek wasn't released by Disney. It's a Dreamworks movie.

;)

LOL No biggie. You're not the first Lit member I've talked with about if Shrek was a Disney movie or not. Just hope somebody doesn't show up one day and prove me wrong on Shrek not being a Disney movie.

I can't believe they put a picture of Shrek next to food at Burger King. Made me think of ear-wax. Ack!

I thought the movie was funny, but alot of adults keep saying it's the funniest cartoon they have ever seen. It was funny, but not like the all time funniest to me. For me, I still love the two Toy Stories.

Which, BTW, had nearly as much adult humor. Who can forget when Mr Potato Head takes his lips off, and smacks them on his rear? Or, when Barbie jumps in the car next to him, and he has to remind himself that he's a married spud?

Both those movies were hilarious. Last year, the kids got the two pack Toy Story 1 and 2 on DVD for Christmas. My aunt told me yesterday she picked Shrek up for them for christmas this year.

It is a Dreamworks movie.. Which I believe is owned by Spielberg.. God i've been away from the movie business waaaaaaay to long..

If the truth be known.. Disney owns a wee bit part of it.. just like everything else.. :)

Don't think Disney owns any of it, but I could be wrong. Have checked the IMDB and several other sites in the past when Shrek was newer, and not once did I see a mention of Disney owning anything that was apart of Dreamworks and so on. Then again, part of it may be wishful thinking on my part since I hate that fucking mouse.

:D

It's a cartoon so i wanted to see it.......... never got the chance :(

You guys keep talking about it just makes me want to see if more....

It's comeing out on DVD and i don't have one.... When the hell do I get to see it? :)

Dreamworks makes good stuff Disney sucks though (yes i know i like all cartoons but i still hate Disney since Walter died)

But you know using Shrek to sell burgers isn't that far-fetched. I'm sure it'll be more successfull than that "Silence of the Lambs" Happy Meal they were pushing.

Was that the Porn studio that keeps making all of those gang bang films? Makes sense since they could of gotten their inspiration from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
