I have two redheaded pets. They are not camera shy but I'm under the threat of death if I post any pictures of them.

I used to know a chap who had a cat named Cat. He claimed that Cat was named after William Alonzo 'Cat' Anderson (one of Duke Ellington's favourite trumpeters, for those of you who aren't into jazz). But then the chap inherited a rescue dog who he named Dog, and I began to have my doubts about the Cat story. :)

Columbo's dog had no name. He called him a dog, hey you, come here, boy, and whistled to him, and the dog had the same response to all of those, to sit and wait for Detective or Mrs. Columbo to come and get him.

Dog had a keen sense of who was in charge, HIM!
