i'm sure this has been done *many* times before, but humor me.

As soon as I can manage to take a picture of my back i'll post mine. It's my first, I had it done a few months ago. From what I understand, when I get more I'll look back and think of it as oh-so-amateur, but for now I like it.

I was wavering slightly on whether I should get my planned one done, so I'm going to treat this as an act of God and believe He's looking down from Heaven and throwing up the horns.

Yes, of course God would throw up the horns. Jesus certainly would. Jesus is fucking METAL.

If you promise not to thi-nah, fuck that, you'll all think I'm a dork or already do, what's the worst I can do? What I'm going to have done is the star in the top-right corner here - just the star, obviously not the lettering, with a dark blue background and gold (or as close as I can get) "wires".

I'm anxious to see the pics...I've always wanted a tattoo but still haven't done it...

I wont. You remind me of my younger kid, she is the same kind of cute.

I dont have any tattoos but I like to see them on others.

Ok, here's mine. Do not mock me. Ok, mock me, whatever.

and yes, I'm aware that I skin to pale it reddens in the flash of a camera!

Sb that is really pretty, I love it.
Where exactly is it on your back?

upper right shoulder, it's kind of small, it looks bigger in the picture than it really is.

thanks! I really like cherry blossoms. Someone is probably going to post and tell me that it has some archane meaning like "I fuck cows" but I guess I'm stuck with it!

My husband has a small celtic knot that he tells people represents his love for me. He had it years before we met. Likely story.

I wish I had been with the guys who got one from Two Thumb Tommy in Singapore . He did amazing work. I doubt I'll ever get one now.

I've always wanted a tattoo of a celtic cross, but have never gotten any at all. It's hard to settle on a place for something so permanent, so everything I've done so far has just been piercings (because they're removeable). Maybe one day.... :)

I have 7. First one in 1999, next 2 in 2006, 1 in 2007, 2 in 2008, 1 in 2009. Just got the most recent one touched up two days ago, there were some problems so the artist fixed it for free. Right now it doesn't seem like much of an improvement, but I'm trying to remind myself that black wash fades to gray and it will look better once it's healed. :)

See mine here:

Each of the three paw prints is a separate tattoo, they just happen to be placed close together as part of a long-term design. They each memorialize a cat I have loved and lost.

Next up is a sleeve as a reward to myself for my graduation in 2011. It'll be flowers from the places I have been (tulip for Turkey, nutmeg for Grenada, plumeria for Hawaii, etc) and I'm thinking about some kind of circuit board background or something similarly geeky.

i just have one for now on my sternum. i may get a full back piece, but i'm trying to find the right artist to do it right now.

Following up on the previous: The appointment has been booked for Friday 27th, giving me two weeks to obsess over it. Over/under on the length of time I'm under the needle before my first profanity - 35 seconds.

NB: I'm increasingly aware I have flabby arms. Will this have any effect?

It will probably make it somewhat less painful, actually.
Mine, which I'm not photographing because I'm lazy is a hand sized hamsa between my upper shoulder blades on the top of my spine. It hurt past the point of me crying like a bitch and just curling up and shivering for 40 min.

You want some fat there.

Someday I want a tattoo, but I don't know if it's gonna happen. With all the crap I'm on my doctors are uncomfortable with me doing that. I get infections WAY too easy.

i had an allergic reaction to the ink when i got mine done. my whole chest broke out into hives for two weeks. it was pretty miserable. that's why i'm hesitant about getting a big one.

this is just me playing around with a design

inside the moon i want a celtic weave style knot (i can't do that in paint lol) and i'm still debating about the star color.... i'm thinking i might have each line of the star a different color to represent their individual element..... i'm also thinking of putting storm clouds or a sunset in the background of the circle.... but i'll probably end up leaving it blank cause i'm a baby lol

i'm thinking either the small of my back or on my shoulder... maybe my ankle but i'm pretty sure i'll go for the small of my back
