Show and Tell

My favorite picture that I have up in my bedroom is a picture I took at sunset of the saint louis cathedral in new orleans. The church is silouetted against a sky of purple, pink and grays. I love it....

A picture I took of 3 horses on an indian reservation in Taos, NM a few years ago, at 5:30am with the sun rising in the background.

No way I am exposing my black velvet Elvis painting to a flash!

A picture of my three girls wearing those nose glasses when they were 12, 8, and 4.

A picture of the 1987 Twins celebrating their World Series win.

Hey, I'm guy.

A painting that my moms cousin painted of my dad and brother after they died.

He captured them perfectly.. from the twinkle in their eyes to the smirk my dad had on his face all the time.

I'll try to take a picture of it and post it here..

I also have a caricature of myself done on my first visit to nyc...now that's a hard one...I love both things I've posted about.

I have a poster of the most important liquid ever used to fix any thing, take a guess

WD-40

My children...."through the years"

Its so wonderful.yet heartbreaking to see them grow up.

My Daddy Kept It Fer Years And Years!

Then Gave It To Me As A Housewarming Gift A Couple Of Years Ago. It's A Painting I Did In Kindergarten!

He Always Loved The Bighead Art:D

On a wall in my home office, I have three original Glen Gore wildlife etchings. I've had them for 20 years, and still enjoy them.

Well, since you asked...

My dad used to be a painter. He has his BA in Art.

Once he joined the work force, he stopped being an artist. He let it slip - it wasn't paying the bills, so it wasn't important to him.

For some reason, it was important to me, though.

He asked me what I wanted for my birthday one year. I told him that I wanted him to paint the Lenape Lighthouse (on a lake near where we used to live). He told me that was impossible - he couldn't do it.

I knew he could.

For the next couple of years, anytime he asked what I wanted for a birthday or Christmas present, I would say the same thing.

"I want you to paint the Lenape Lighthouse."

After about two years of this, I figured he would never do it.

That Christmas, I got a wonderful surprise. :D

(This is a horrible shot, but it's the best I can do with my webcam.)

I bet you are just teasing me.

My favourite pictures are the family photos.
Particularly the one of my oldest holding my youngest as a baby.
<echoing lovetoread's feelings on them growing up so fast>

Next favourite would be the friendship pic
my best friend gave me. :)

It's not the best painting in my house, but it's my favorite.

Here's a close up shot.

I also have this cool clock that I made, the numbers are replaced by egg planes, like in the AV and in the center, around the hands is a fried egg
