Should threads not "fluffy" enough be moved to bdsm talk?

I was asked if one of mine could be moved because someone wanted it for the library. I said no at the time, only because it was late and I really didn't want to be bothered with a silly request. You can move my threads anywhere you like. Just don't edit them as one x mod did. Of course she hit the wrong button <snicker>

I guess that's a problem with having two boards. You get some fluff over there, and some meat over here. Someone could volunteer to be the cafe librarian and once every two weeks send over links that would have a place in the library to the talk librarian.

The simple solution is to leave a thread at the cafe till it runs out of steam. Then let the librarian decide if it's substantial enough, and interesting to many, so as to go in the main forum library.

The less thread moving the better, unless *requested* by the starter.

You should have been honored to be included in the library, instead of complaining about it...

With all due respect WD, I thought it was a good thread, and simply thought that it fit the criteria over on the other Board more so than this one. I also thought that it deserved to be in the Library. Let me make something perfectly clear, a thread doesn't need to be on the other Board to be included in the Library, and that is NOT why I asked for yours to be moved. The request was because I thought it was more suitable to that Board, and not this one.

As to your idea about another Librarian? I think you'll find that most people here feel I'm doing a great job. I don't need another person "helping" me, and screwing up my system. This Board does not need two Librarians. I am more than capable of keeping track of the threads the Cafe generates that will end up in the Library.

Live and learn. I won't suggest anything like this again.

I think you are a wonderful Librarian. I didn't know it was your suggestion, and I wasn't questioning your ability. I was under the impression that it was to be moved to be included in the library, and that was why I brought it up.

Thanks for the support and I'm glad I was able to clear up the miscommunication. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough in my request to MissT regarding the "why" of the move. I think, perhaps, I should have sent a copy of the request PM straight on to you in a PM; perhaps that might have helped.

Either way, I'll reiterate, great thread.

I think threads that are not fluffy enough should be starched, ironed, and folded before they are put away.

nods, smiles, nods

Having utilized the library here on more than one occasion (that's being conservative) I can say..... yes and thanks.

Apologies if I didn't make the request clear.

And yes, you do do a great job!!!!

Not only by maintaining the library, but in directing people to the library when you see where their questions may be answered there.

Thank you, anelize.

I'm pretty sure I saw a post out of place in another thread, grrls...you might want to form a SubCommittee and study what to do, but I think it means another SubForum.

Well, if we need a Fluffy Arbiter, what of MV?

He looks fluffy enough with that AV. :D
