Might be a good way to fix up all this nastiness.

Moscow girls me me sing and shout...

They've really managed to put themselves between a rock and a hard place; a third-world nation that used to have a first-world military which is now in shambles. I'm seeing a very strong parallel between Putin and buddy Biden.

Goes back to MacAuthur, to paraphrase, "Don't fight land wars in Asia (or Eurasia for that matter)." History has been quite unkind to any invader. Oh, they cause great damage and loss of life but Russia and China still exist.

As far as using nukes goes, it's damn difficult to occupy radioactive territory.

In all honesty --I'm not trolling now-- don't be gullible.
This is exactly like when Putin was "dying" a few months ago, during another time when Allies were losing ground:
distraction.

I'm sure there are pockets of dissent in the Federation
but how significant are they in a totalitarian country of 150 millions?

Massmedia are trying to re-focus people's anger and emotions, cause all the money pumped into Russia, all the human and economic sacrifices just turned to shit

I was surprised to see the Kremlin admit to making a mistake on the conscription.

When was the last time they did a press release admitting a mistake???

It's horrid.

I know I sound elitist-Hitler-eque, but until I didn't lose much sleep over Russian losses.
Because Russian Army is the opposite of American one, it selects the lowest denominators from rough, remote mostly far Eastern areas cause abysmal pay and no prospects out of it. You just don't go out at night alone if the Army is stationed in your small town in Russia, cause risk of rapes. It also explains the war crimes and rapes in Ukraine. Those uneducated, low IQ folks are frustrated with being used as cheap cannon fodder, so they can easily become brutalised..

But now their creme de la creme are being sent to the meat grinder. It's just as bad as watching the mass exodus of Ukrainian women and kids.

There will be a special place in Hell for American and British Boomer Elites, for their psychopathic idiocy.
They knew it was a slim chance for Russia to allow Georgia and Ukraine to join NATO, and for it to continue passing Eastern European real estate to America. Yet they still risked it.

I would never condone genocidal acts like 9/11 and Russian invasion.
But Americans were like... Wtf just happened out of the blue?

Stick to goat fucking.

Who do you suppose blew up the pipelines?
From what I read so far:
If it were Russians? -- Maskirovka makes more sense, since Americans had made flippant superficial threats in the past to blow it up if Russia starts war. Otherwise why would Russia blow up millions of it's dollars, when they could just turn off the gas from the source?
Others are accusing Americans.
Either way , if Russians will accuse Americans of doing it, it's bad cause they could start blowing up American infrastructure.

Not sure if I understood exactly the general opinions, tho. What is Your take on it?

Read my previous post. Answer is there.
so you implied it was Russians?
You could actually be right.
As senseless as it seems at first, Russian military thinking is very sophisticated, layered and long-term. Let's remember ww2 Germans and Volga. Or now, how they took hold of Eastern Ukraine: maskirovka, while the West was in hysterics over Kyiv. Russians never intended to try to occupy Kyiv or the entire Ukraine, they're too huge.

Ukraine was never going to be a member of NATO. Russia owns this!

great posts from lance and kradder, as usual, ta
ish and aj usually do fantastic accomplished posts too when it comes to History/geopolitics,
but I'm afraid that their loyalty to their country --understandably but frustratingly so, this time-- functions as horse blinders. When it comes to Ukraine, I read them like the American equivalent of Pravda.

as for brainsand boobs -- what a freakin' self-loving, low iq imbecile.

Cute review. Which one is you?

After 4 years of Trump, the Pandemic, a weak looking Biden with domestic issues, and Europe reliant on Russian gas/oil, I think Putin thought he could grab some more of the old Union and get away with it.

I don’t think anyone could have predicted the EU and USA standing together the way they have.

Putin’s fucked. His career or life or both are headed in one direction.

Given the uncertainty of what he might do on his way down, a fall out of a high window might be best for everyone.

On the other side of the coin, Ukraine has been the subject of a lot of American dark money stories for what, a decade?

Paul Manafort. Hunter Biden. Bags of money. Two Presidents skulking around.Arms deals. That prosectutor story. Bio labs. A very slick tv comic jewish president who speaks english very well.

Empty pipelines breaking.

Putin has a track record of escalation.

Nuclear bombs next?

naah... It wasn't Ukrainians.
It was the Psychopaths.

Someone just laid out this argument to me:
-- when asked upfront "was it us?" some official American woman started beating around the bush, saying how fossil fuel is bad for the Planet
- two American ships with underwater capabilities, were seen nearby just two days before
- German laypeople had started taking to the streets, to protest the rising cost of living + asking for Nordstream to be open to Germany again

“Fourth Leak in Pipelines

Taken at face value, it seems unlikely that Russia would attack its own multi-billion dollar pipes - but those familiar with Moscow's 'hybrid' style of warfare say it is likely Kremlin mind game to sow uncertainty and a warning to back off Ukraine. 'It's all part of the Russian style of political warfare,' Bryan Clark, a former US navy strategic planner now at the Hudson Institute think tank, said. 'It's about sowing doubt, creating just enough fog of uncertainty.'

European leaders are now rushing to shore up defences around their own undersea pipes and data cables, amid fears they are also vulnerable to attack. A renewed energy crisis, recession, or financial crash could all result if those crucial networks were disrupted, experts and analysts warned.”
