Early evening news item on TV.

The next Star Wars isn't due for release until May but outside one movie theatre in Seattle fans have already started queuing for tickets.

"We're here for the long haul", said one of them, "23 hours a day, seven days a week".

Oh well, whatever turns them on...

pssst pp_man!

They're not queuing, they are Americans, they're standing in line.

We queue, only not this fucking early!

I think I should be tested for my sanity

I was thinking of started this thread yesterday. Another time wherep.p. and I were thinking the same damn thing. *Calm down, Nasty. It will pass*

You do the next one...

:D

When I first saw the title of this thread I was thinking that it depended on what kind of movie it was. Cause I thought all star wars movies should be exempt. :D

Did you catch the part where the theater said it can't even confirm if it will show the second episode of Star Wars? These loons may be sitting out there for months, all for naught. Secretly, I'm hoping the place doesn't show the movie. Those guys need a serious kick in the pants.

.......Just don't judge every person in our city by a few

Naah, not judging. Just reporting.

It's one of those stories that get reported when there's nothing else happening.

And there's nothing else happening at the moment...

:)

Sorry nothing is happening for you on that side of the world......I'm sure the U S will keep you amused..............:)

I believe the guy is filming a documentary of the event. To get the whole story you have to be there first, right? Imagine how neat this could be. Anyone here seen 'trekkies'?

I didn't camp out for tickets for EP I but a friend did.....My group got to the theatre on opening day about four hours ahead of showtime with the tickets he had camped out for. We sat in line, played cards, had some beers, played around with the gal doing the live news feed by shaking our lightsabers at her. We got to see tons of neat costumes and re-enacted scenes....so on and so on.....
I'm not a crazed star wars fan, but I'm a HUGE fan of enthusiasm. We simply had a blast....good people, good times...

The same guy plans to camp out again this year to buy us all tickets if need be....

Sorry. I mean't nothing's happening in the US.

Over here we've got plenty of stuff, but no-one on Lit would know much about it.

Example: Prince William shouted "Fuck Off" to a group of anti-hunt saboteurs...

Exciting eh?

:)

THey're trying to set a record, I say good for them.

THe new record holders for the longest wait to get into an NSYNC concert
