Should police and law enforcement in America be allowed to brutally beat and physically torture people to the very verge of death during the interrogation of criminals?

Some of the interrogation techniques that I have in mind (used by the black op elements of the intelligence community) cause the victim to die from shock or bloodloss. Probably not the best way to get answers.

Thanks to the department of homeland security, many police departments are already adopting heavy-handed military interrogation techniques. There are even reports of people being burned with cigarettes.

With Amerika becoming a full-blown military dictatorship, it wouldn't surprise me if these sorts of things don't start to happen in the not too-distant future.

Political dissent and subversive comments in future Amerika are punishable by detainment, torture, and execution.

Has it occured to you that your claims of stalking ss put you into criminal category?
Not that I believe your claims.... personally, I think you're a bit of a loser alt... but if you keep saying it's you, someday someone might believe you and then you could be a victim of brutal police treatment.
Well, one can hope anyway.

These brutal abuses are more likely to occur during federal interrogations and not by civilian law enforcement. Other than in a few rare cases where fed-up cops "go rogue" and rough someone up, generally speaking, police aren't allowed to manhandle or physically abuse suspects because they have rights and could sue if they are mistreated.

Police officers who do these types of things are fired and often face criminal charges.

FBI/DHS/ICE/CIA/Military interrogations have a whole different set of rules, especially if "national security" is at stake. More and more categories of people, including peaceful protestors and totally nonviolent political activists and government critics are being branded as terrorists/threats to national security by the federal government. Everyday citizens are being treated like outright terrorists simply for lawfully exercising their rights.

I bet that in the near future, innocent hippie protestors and conservative soccer moms are going to have to through harsh interrogations because their political beliefs run counter to that of the Amerikan police state. In the future, it's possible that making simple political statements critical of government policy could get you branded as an enemy combatant, indefinitely detained without a trial, brutally tortured, and executed. The United States of America is headed down the path of a violent and oppressive military dictatorship.

Pick up a history book and read about what happened to Russia, Germany, and China during the 20th century.
