I'm Heath, known as Goodalphamale. A few months ago, I wrote the story "Under the Castle," but it didn't get the response I wanted due to several errors and typos.

I know it was so hard to read because of all the errors, but like as I mentioned in my first story, English is not my first language. So I am planning to proofread "Under the Castle" and reupload it, what are your suggestions?

The only caveat is that you keep all old metrics; comments and votes, etc.
I've done it a few times. Some were fixing things like names changing during the story. The most significant were with two stories when comments exposed significant plot holes. One was a minor change that made a huge difference, the other was almost a full rewrite, doubling the size of the story as I added a parallel story line for the second main character.

TLDR: Yes you can do it and it is not an issue. Happens all the time. The down side, as I see it, is that those that have already read your story won't come back to see how you fixed it.

That is the sad part

I skimmed through it, and at first glance, it didn't seem too bad at all, in terms of spelling and grammar. I certainly see much worse on here. Would be happy to help from an editing standpoint. But at this point, you might want to just move ahead with your lessons learned. I'm not sure the additional benefit would be worth the extra effort. PM me if you'd like help in the future. I've been a professional writer most of my life (marketing communications), and have always been a bit of a grammar Nazi, although I'm not nasty about it, just very diligent.

Anyway, good luck, and have a great day.
