Short sexy stories

I understand that the Literotica stories are exactly that, building the background, setting the scene. I enjoy these but sometimes find myself scrolling through the '5 pages' to the 'action'.
I write 'cut to the chase' erotic short stories, just a page or two. Readers tell me they like them, saying they're 'hot' and 'they came hard'.
Should we have a 'Short story' section? These needn't be about full on action, but could have interesting twists, around a sexual theme. This is Literotica, after all.

This is a great idea. Like you, I will skip "Novels" and look for one or two page stories.

If you go to the literotica page scroll down and you will find author index, click on that then search for any author and you will find their page with story links.

I think short and to the point stories most definitely have their following. I know I prefer a 1-2 page story much better than I do say a 4+ page story. I think short stories peak my interest more so than a lengthy build up taking many pages to get to the, shall we say, chase. I think it might be nice to have say a short story section for each genre so all you see are 1-2 or maybe even 1-3 pages at max.

Sometimes I am already horny and look for a story that will push me over the edge. In that case I want something short that gets right to the point.

Other times I will start off calm and not overly excited. I can't jump right into a sex scene or it seems silly. In those times the slow build up is perfect to get me in the mood for the later sex scene.

Some authors even put a header on the story that says "This is a slow build up. If you want to skip right to the sex go to page 4" which is a nice touch. Sort of a choose your own adventure option.

I agree, there are times I do enjoy a very well written longer story however more often than not I enjoy the shorter ones. Having a way to chose just short or longer stories would be at least for me a very helpful way to determine which stories peak my interest at that moment. Sometimes I start a story and like it only to find it is too long for me for that moment.

look for stories that only have a few pages and are not 4, 5, 6, or more pages long.

There are several author's that have both, but the shorter stories will always be 1- or 2-pages max.

You can also look for stories based on the number of stars that they've received.

Following this post and the support for it, I posted 4 under a thread Erotic short stories/Fetish and sexuality centre. An admin took the post down, saying no stories in the Forums. A pity as the footfall is in the Forums and people often post threads or comments of an erotic nature which are short stories.

A “maximum length” option in search would be a nice addition to Literotica.

Also btw, look closely near the top, a line or three below the title once you’ve clicked into any story. The word count is listed. To keep it simple, one Literotica page is 4000 words (3750 is closer to the exact number.)

Yes, that was in my thinking, as many a story goes on and on, and one just has not the time to read it all. A short story section would be great fun to add to Lit-erotica.

Recently the Authors' Hangout had a 750 word challenge for stories that are that long and no longer (Lit's minimum).

But I sometimes write 50 word stories and submit them in sets of 15 to make Lit's minimum.

That short enough?

Your original post stated your personal preference.

But Lit is large enough with a very diverse set of stories so that some appeal to almost any taste. If you want short steamy sex scenes? They are here. If you want longer stories with a plot and charcater devlopment? They are here. If you want a specific fetish? They are here.

It is not wrong to want short sexy stories, but it also isn't wrong to want something different.
