Short notice for a novel competition (big money)

So that's why I missed that meeting?

Bad Canadian pot Cloudy, with little white flecks of something. LOL

OH! That kind of NOVEL!

I thought the competition would be something like a race for distance with hot air balloons, where you’re allowed to try to put out the other guy’s flame by throwing water-filled prophylactics.

Just out of interest: Does "double line spacing" mean every line must have a space under it, or that every paragraph must have a space under it instead on an indent?

That would be every line. Pretty standard prctice for novel scripts sent to publishers.

Double spacing The, is hitting return twice after each line, bit unwieldy to do manually on a processor with word-wrap but I think it can be set as double spaced when writing.

They didn't mention indents or anything else so I assume everything else is normal. Purely for readability I think.

Gauche

well its worth a go isn't it?

Funnily enough I'm working with a novel idea right now.

Maybe its fate? *chuckles*

Similar contest here in the states at Bravo, Write your own sitcom

If you think you can write the next "Friends," submit fifteen pages of drivel in a screenplay format... deadline is Sept 18th though.

Yeah, I tried it, don't ask me why. Tough to write stupid enough for a sitcom.
