Short Libertarians are doomed to war with uncivil Conservatives.

First, there's no such thing as a civil war. There may be endless nights, but no war was, or ever will be, civil.

Sept. 11, 2001, had a triple impact. It focused American minds on cut-n=paste debate, it showed us how pathetic our rhetoric is, and it gave us a reason to cluster at sites like literotica and revel in our differences.

But 9-11 did not cure the differences. We are still a nation with roughly half women and half men.

The philosophical divisions between women and men are not the kind that can be healed or compromised away. That is because one side does not understand that the basic principles are not up for discussion or compromise, they think talking will always solve everything.

Because of this failure to understand how profound our divisions really are, in the long run the war of the sexes will not be civil. It is, when all is said and done, war.

If another womanizer type takes office, the direction of the country will be too entrenched and tenured for reform to occur.

Conservatives and libertarians understand that government seldom admits it's paying people to sodomize the president.Such an admission would leave conservatives and libertarians with nowhere to go. As it is, most libertarians and principled conservatives already know that is the case. They also know that their chance of getting a good blowjob are effectively nil.

As a matter of fact, significant implementation of the agenda of libertarians and conservatives in the United States is a lost cause. It's all about sex, baby.

"In their striking new book, "The Emerging Female Majority," the writers have used census data, voting studies and exit polls to argue that a combination of deep-rooted modern American demogogic, economic and cultural trends is beginning to stack the odds ever more heavily against the men."

Men have been doing what they can for decades to absolutely no permanent effect. The direction of America is still "Estrogen HO!"

"The new majority ... is based on professionals, women and minorities, all of whom, especially the Latino minority, are growing as a proportion of the electorate, and all of whom are keen to vote.

What that means is that the direction of the American system and its institutions are going to be in the hands of people, not the old boys network.

Almost nothing short of an act of God, or the individual states insisting on the rights of male voters under new amendments, can stop the growth of the power of the estrogen-laden majority.

The take-over of American businesses and universities by the women shows how smothering old tradition works. As the women took control, conservative opinion and worldview became almost nonexistent among the professorate. How could students learn that there is more than one way to look at the world if they only heard one voice? THen the MBAs went forth and took over the sacrosanct realm of the corporate boardroom, too.

The sad fact is that men are only capable of calling a halt to the insanity when a major catastrophe like Sept. 11, 2001, occurs. Before Sept. 11, Bush and the Republicans were impotent. Daschle and company were busy ordering viagra, while the Bill Clintons of the world knew that it's really all about sex, baby.

Bill knows: women rock, and rule.

Lukky? I don't have anything to add to your political thread cuz, well, i'm afraid my opinions on political matters are ill-formed and shadowy things, kinda not-ready-for-primetime, as it were.

I just popped in here to tell you that i'll read almost anything you write just because you write it. You're a good egg. Always have been, since the moment you arrived. It's because of people like you that people like me can't actually leave Lit, you know?
:rose:

Sorry for the hijack. Please don't say mean things to me for doing this; it was, at least, a kindly and well-intentioned hijacking.

~LOL~

Cym, if it was an even remotely serious thread I'd still be OK with you hijacking it, but since I still can't dislodge my tongue from my cheek I will just savor your evanescent grace.
