Shopping and Bad Moods

I believe my Lady D refers to that as "retail therapy".

I typically indulge in electronics. Or books. Lots & lots of books. If I can pillage Barnes & Noble I'm once again a happy man.

shop online then...I've become an online shopaholic junkie (actually have bought clothes online from Banana and they fit!) I bought several books earlier tonight online.

This weekend - I'm going shopping. I mean all day Saturday from the crack of dawn until my feet are tired shopping.
I'm researching on-line for my next shopping spree: a fridge. How terribly home owner-ish of me.

lol...its closed isn't it? maybe we could go to that fab american store Wal-mart? just kidding. :D

I don't know what you look like, but I do like that do.

(I know this belongs on another thread, but I'm not feeling up to research tonight).

I think I may have to buy something to celebrate my 100th post...it only took me three weeks to get there.

Yeah, me!

I've been in a shopping mood for the past week.

I've bought more clothes in the past week than in the past two months.

Hurrah!

Three weeks is good. Indicates you have a life outside of Lit.
This is healthy :)

Now to make that ever crucial AV decision.

I also shop when I am feeling a little blue ... I seem to go crazy when it comes to shoes , panties , and bras.

But then I can totally go the opposite and waste an obsence amount of money on my car... I was it detailed to the 9's and that usally puts me over the top ...

But ...I be big pimping , spending cheese...

I feel better afterwards. :)

Thanks, it's Stockard Channing. I look nothing like her, but I like her smile in this shot.

i love to shop, but i'd rather go with someone else and help them pick out stuff. i feel like i'm on a mission.

when it's for myself..it just feels blah.

I didn't recognize her at first (it must be a pretty old photo), but I right-clicked as if to save it to see what the file was named. Then I wasn't surprised--you've used her pictures as avs before.

Whenever I feel a burning need to get into a really bad mood, all I have to do is go shopping. :p

(not just reinforcing stereotypes either -- I really do hate shopping.)

I beat myself up for buying stuff.
But, I love to buy presnts for others when I'm blue!

I went to the mall a few days ago and had to stare at all the pretty shoes I couldn't afford in nordstroms...that night I went to bed b/c of a migraine. Coincidence? I think not....I've been very sad lately and have had no money to buy anything with...which only makes me sadder :(

i thought it was just me

I went nuts this weekend -- vintage slip, the cutest little pin, a bathing suit (this from someone who vowed not to wear one until she got back into single digit sizes!)..

Must have something to do with the endorphins.

But I really must do better -- take up a hobby that doesn't cost money, or at least can make me money to do more shopping!

*Sigh*

I received my first unemployment compensation check this week.

Today I bought:

- bright red metallic garbage can w/swing lid
- antique white picture frame to put a beach pic in
- test tube spice rack
- blue sundress
- loden green walking shorts
- khaki shorts
- black cotton cardigan
- bra and panty set
- lavender linen dress
- two blue pillowcases
- yellow and blue floral bath set
- 4 red and white kitchen towels
- a honey jar
- a carafe for my bedside
- a birthday card
- a sack of homegrown tomatoes
- a frozen lemon ice

I spent less than $225. Life is good.

I really do hate shopping, too. It is a part of the gender divide that I will likely never be able to cross.

Except when it comes to outdoors gear. I really do need a sixth sleeping bag, because I lack an ultralight bag in the 10 degree range. Not to mention a fourth tent, freestanding and less than five pounds. And a fifth pair of Gore-Tex boots, ultralight for moving fast. But that isn't recreational shopping, like a women would do... those are necessities!

Don't forget to pull your tongue out of your cheek bfore you bite down. :p

I don't mind buying stuff I need -- I just hate shopping for it.
