I am excited to announce that I am finally going to start selling my art work. After so many people nagging on my case to get it going, I finally started today. Not really knowing where to start, I figured I was online so much I could make a shot at ebay. So far I have only posted one peice of my work, but there will be many many more to come.

Go, take a look:
She's a Spiked Still Life

I just had to share the news cause it's something new and excited for me.

im very excited for you! good going, i hope you do well. your work is very interesting, i would love to see another pic!

Simply Nude

I just posted another peice of my work. This one is a little different then the stuff I normally do. <shrug> But it's something.

You're very good, RainCrow, and i've quite liked the two you've shown us so far. I'm looking forward to seeing more and wish you well with this new endeavor of eBay merchandising. Is it difficult to put a price tag on something that's come from your brain and heart and soul? How do you determine what dollar amount to attach to your work? It must be correspondingly more difficult the more you're attached to one piece or another, right?

Interesting.
Fascinating, really.
I've never had a chance to talk with anyone who was doing this, currently involved with putting a dollar amount on the fruits of thier creativity.

Just so you know: i see nothing at all wrong, and everything right, with making money from the fruits of one's natural abilities, abilities that have been honed and sharpened through practice and study.

Oh my god cymbidia, you have NO idea how incredably difficult it is for me to figure out a dollar amount. That's the worst part of this whole thing. I really have not a clue. I don't know how much someone is willing to pay for something... if I've over charged, if I've under charged. I have no experience with selling my stuff so I have no idea.

i personally like the love of all time better, although they are both good!

RainCrow,

I too like the Love of all time best.

Your work is awesome, keep up the good work and good luck to you selling them on ebay.

Do you have a larger/more pixels version of the simple nude picture and the love of all time, you could e-mail me?

I am interested in purchasing.

Thanks

You know it's kind of interesting, just putting my stuff on ebay (sure only three paintings have gone up) has inspired me a bit. I have been in a bit of a dry spell that last couple months quite honestly. But now I have so many different things I want to paint. So instead of forgetting all the ideas I am drawing a sketch of each on a small note card, so when I get around to actually painting that particular thing I will remember what the heck I wanted it to look like.

Right now I am working on something that is going to be so totally different then anything else I have done before.

And I was also going through all my past artwork this morning looking at things I had done years ago, it was cool because that inspired some new ideas as well. <smiles> You know I am happy I started back up cause lately it's been hard to get motivated.
I am just surprised I don't have any bidders on anything yet. Oh well, time will tell. And I guess if no body likes those peices, then I will post other items.

mm

42 mins left and no bids for She's a Spiked Still life. Now the question is do I run it again... or wait a while before I run it. I am probably going to opt for the second one. Simply nude still has 3 days on it... so we'll see... and The love of all time has 5 days on it. These of cource if they don't sell on ebay will still before sale otherwise.
