I just finished reading She, by H. Rider Haggard, and found myself fascinated by the character of Ayesha, a woman who is so beautiful that a man will make love to her over the corpse of his lover (murdered by her out of jealousy), even though he doesn't want to. Ayesha's insistence that her obssession with Kallikrates is love also fascinates.

I was also intrigued by the barely mentioned character of Amenertas, a woman who managed to stand against Ayesha, and hold on to man, overcoming Ayesha's seductive beauty and the promise of immortality through her love.

Imagine my shock when I discovered that there are no Lit stories about this.

This must be rectified immidiately!

its a interesting concept but it would have to be a long drawn out epic tale and may authors chose not to write those. Still its very interesting.

Why?

Haggard already wrote the epic version, all we need is to fill in the blanks.

The trouble is, most of the authors on LIt can't be bothered to do any research, much less read a book the length of "She" even on-line here.

That reminds me of another interesting novel called "Interview With A Vampire" (book version).
This called for a sequel that featured a female vampire or succubus.
