alright. totally new, not sure if i'm doing it right. Any advice for this new girl

Body: Petite, 5'2, slim, brunette long hair, deep blue big eyes.
Work: Waitress
Scarlett been working at this place for far too long, but she feels its like family here. This small town of about 3000 she feels limited. All her life she's been good and sweet. Making sure to watch every thing she did in fear that people would talk.
She was raised in a good family with strong family morals. But she always felt out of place, like she didnt quite belong here. She had a few lovers, but none that challenged her or even went outside the shell. Routine, nothing more. She felt bored to the core and knew she had to go.
Took no time once she made up her mind, she moved to a new city with one of her childhood friends. She felt relieved but found it so very different. The people were cold, no eye contact, no hello in the street just people passing by.
'Ellie, i find people so rude here." She laughed, "don't worry about it, it's the big city here. That's how it works." "but im afraid to be walk all over by everyone here." Ellie thought for a sec and answered. "I got it, you need a job. You'll be able to meet people there. You'll see it's not so bad."
Ellie called a few friends and before she knew it, Scarlett was working in an Italian high end restaurant as a waitress. The money was good and people were a bit warmer. But nothing could prepare her for what will soon be a life changing meeting...
