Tommy, 21 years old, college junior, music major. Generally looks pretty scruffy, but he's clean shaven this evening.

Kayla, 19 years old, college sophomore.

Kayla and Tommy had been checking each other out from across the auditorium for days and days, surreptitiously eyeing each other over notebooks and textbooks and backpacks while the professor droned on and on about this that or some other amazing biological formation that had been discovered.
They had started talking after class today. They bumped into each other, apologized, and she said something obscurely funny, and he laughed and she smiled and they talked all through lunch, which they shared, and when he asked her if she'd come see a movie, tonight, he didn't think he really had a chance.
But she said "Sure!" and gave him her phone number and he picked her up at seven and now they were in the back of the movie theatre, and they were most certainly not watching the film. At all.
