So, you have a nerdy girl working in a laboratory, and this not-quite-as-nerdy guy who has been persuing her for some time, maybe someone who works in the same building, but not in a science/research area (like, maybe he's an administrative guy or something). She likes him, but doesn't have the time with her busy schedule to have a relationship.
Anyhow, one day she's working in the lab, safety gear and goggles on to protect her from the hazardous effects of the reaction she's working on. The guy, knowing she's in the lab and having some free time, decides he's gonna go strike up a conversation, but doesn't pay attention to the safety notices posted around the lab warning him to don protective gear. He opens the door and walks in, just as the reaction goes off, and is rendered at least temporarily blind. The blindness could be from a bright flash or maybe from fumes or something when he gets too close before she notices him.
So the rest of the story is basically her tending to his injury, in a situation which somehow evolves into some quasi-blindfold action, with the guy unable to see what the girl is doing. Thoughts?
