This is mainly for the women out there. Those of you who shave, do you have any tips for dong a good job of it? I just shaved it yesterday for the first time and it is stubbly in a few places, especially where the two sides meet right above my clit.

I use one of those little mirrors you can buy in the school supply aisle of Wal-Mart. Prop it up between your legs with a bowl of warm water and some of that female-targeted shaving gel and go to town. I know this may sound painful, but waxing is usually a good method, because shaving often causes irritation, and when the hair is growing back it can get itchy, so I prefer waxing or hair remover to a razor. And as opposed to a razor, the hair doesn't grow back as quickly.

I don't know if my two cents is welcome here, but I wanted to give a man's point of view, well a different man's point of view anyway: I don't know why women want to shave ALL of their pubic hair. It is one of the most erotic things in the world. Now don't get the wrong impression here; as my girlfriend is fond of saying, "Nobody likes an unruly bush", but a well trimmed pussy is just gorgeous. There's a bigger problem with shaving completely bare than bristling. Pubic hair is the main and first line of defense against various types of vaginal infection-- I read all about it a year or so ago, and just began trimming my hair closely, long enough so the bristling didn't hurt and so that it would be healthy, but close enough for swim season. Just make sure you leave some hair closest to the lips when you shave; shaving completely is almost as bad for you as douching. I know guys who love eating bare pussy, but they'd rather eat out a girl with hair than a girl with an infection. It can completely change the taste, smell, and even the texture.

Personally as a woman I sometimes have it shaved sometimes not. I like to suprise my hubby sometimes and shave myself bald. He loves it. Okay back to the orginal question.
I have heard shave with a new razor and then from Eve that she waxes which helps with stubble, smothness and how often.
What about creams like Nair. Are they safe? The bottles don't have any warnings.

I like bald bare lips as a change and it really increases her sensitivity. With the added bonus of no stray hairs to try and get out of your mouth at a time when I like to concentrate. She leaves most of her hair above the lips so that while it may look like hair pie it is really cream pie. Shaving is such a hassle though and in two days it drives her crazy with the itching and takes all the hide off my face if I venture down there. So it is only something we do for special occasions.

Nair has never hurt me, but make sure it stays on the external part, because it will irritate, and just like waxing, the hair won't grow back as fast and the hair will actually grow back in finer.

ok, I agree with most of the statements here. My husband likes it both ways. Usually I shave the lips, right above my clit, and oc course the bikini area. I sometimes shave it into a little heart for him. You need to always use a fresh razor(I use my husbands which has disposable blades) There is also a cream called Bikini Zone which you can get at wal-Mart, that helps reduce itching and breaking out. It is a lifesaver!

Yes, The nair can make your skin very sensitive and break out is possible I have been shaving the bikini area for a couple of years. I find that if you shave the area every couple of days it reduces the stuble and yes, bikini zone is a life saver. just my opinion

When talking about shaving it all off, I do it once a week, and I don't have to worry about any stubble for at least 2 days, and my hair grows very fast. Nair helps get all but the area closest to the clit, careful that part burns when you get nair. But my question is... why are none of you guys shaving? When I give oral sex to a guy, my nose in a big bush of hair isn't totally cool.

Well, I'm with the guys who like the natural look. I find pubic hair a stimulating sight and feel.
