It's really all about personal preference. If your partner likes you shaved and you don't mind obliging, then shave. Personally I don't care whether or not his balls have some hair. It's the mound at the top that bothers me!! A nice short trim (not short as in stubbly and painful, but just a little longer where it's still short but soft) is my personal preference. I hate feeling like a cat afterwards trying to hack up a hairball.... As for me, I keep the undercarriage shaved, and the mound trimmed back. I haven't had any complaints yet....
