I have shaved for several years now, and I would like to know what experiences people have had with it. For women, do you like a man shaved? For the men who shave, what do you find helpful when you shave? What razor do you think works best?

No shaving, just Magic Lotion. Lot's of previous threads on this particular product. :)

Ok what exactly is this Magic Lotion stuff I keep reading about????????????????

"magic" is the name ---it can be lotion, cream, or powder (anything I'm missing?). Well anyway, it's aimed at African Americans. but the stuff is wonderful. It's the least stinky of all the deplitories i've even found (and that includes the womens stuff). plus it's loaded with cocoa butter (make the skin nice and smooth). so you put this stuff where you don't want hair and just wait a while and then wipe it off. I like to use it sometimes instead of shaving (for a nice little treat when I dont have time).

Just wanting to verify or confirm just where we are talking about shaving or using this magic lotion. Are we talking face, legs, underarms or what. And please tell me again where to find this "magic lotion" If we are talking about shaving in personal areas, I am very interested in something to take the place of a razor.

And as for your other question Big J Man, I like a man shaved below, but love the hair that rests just above "Louie" and his "nutty" cousins.

I just saw "Magic" at Target the other day! I picked it up, looked at it, and wanted to try it....but it scares me that you need to use a 'spatula' to take it off, and need to be careful not to *scrape* when you remove it. My little delicates are special to me and I don't wanna hurt them!! :D

I just tried it out yesterday in fact and it worked pretty well. I ran out and got it after reading some of the old threads here.
You can't leave it on too long though. I guess I have *sensitive* skin and it burnt me a little.
And I think I'll have to still uae a razar to get the hard parts.

If you follow directions, you should be fine. I like the little spatula that I use. It gets the Magic Lotion off easily and quickly- less chance of keeping it on too long. I jump in the shower immediately after and use the wash cloth to get any remaining hair/lotion off.

Do you use one of those flexible mini-rubber type spatulas? I know I've got a little one here somewhere...I'm wondering if it will work? :)

Exactly. I took one from my kitchen drawer and designated it my new Magic spatula. It is maybe 3 inches long at the most and about an inch wide.

You're welcome. Another convert about to be added to the fold..... :D

Magic lotion?

*Rushes off to Target*

shaving the kitten

no better way i know to make a kitty purr, then to get rid of the fur. most of the kittens i know prefer the blade, but some of them like APLON (sugar wax) doesn't tast bad either. creams cause a rash on most of the people i know who have tried them.

I like to keep it close. The new three blader's work well, My lady friend told be to shave with Baby oil, it works. Try it in the shower with a soap and water after wash.

Using Magic

Either I'm one hairy babe (which I'm not...I don't think), or I'm not using this product correctly.

The hair comes off, but not smoothly...I still have to shave to get a nice smooth surface. Should I, perhaps, leave it on a bit longer than the directions say?

I'm not sure what you mean by "not smoothly." Do you mean the hair is shorter, but still there? Or you are missing some spots and have to shave those? I'm not sure if the first one is possible, the hair comes off right at the skin so it is very smooth. The second may be possible if you are applying Magic unevenly, or not letting it on long enough.
