Teens everywhere are smooshing their heads together in an attempt to capture the perfect selfie, and while that sounds pretty innocent, danger is lurking just around the corner: all those selfies could be causing an uptick in head lice cases.

My youngest daughter, when a teenager, had her hair shaved off AT SCHOOL to raise money for Comic Relief. A professional hairdresser, a family friend, did it on stage in the school hall.

She raised about £500.

None of her friends wanted to emulate her.

No. What is presented on commercial media is filler between advertisements. Speculation, boasting, pontification, and other such blathers have been part of 'news' media since the first broadsides were printed a half-millennium ago. Just the same old shit.

It could have been worse, you could have been reading that paragon of Professional Journalism and virtue that boasts. "All the news that's fit to print' and if we do not have enough news we'll make some up or as long as it is behind the front page that was a full page paid advertisement today.
