Sharm El-sheikh checkpoint

I am a law abiding Egyptian citizen and when I traveled to Sharm el sheikh from Cairo, a police checkpoint refused to let me enter the city because they don't let anyone in if he hadn't book a room before he travel to the city or if he hadn't work in a job in the city and has papers to prove it .. What do you think about that ?
