This piece is an outstanding example of harmony and emotion in music (The King's Singers are always exquisite). It was composed by Billy Joel--I assume for his daughter--and the words are as moving as the music. I know we like to pound counter-culture at each other, and the "do dads have any benefit" thread comes to mind. But all that aside, sometimes an ideal is presented so perfectly that you can't help but dream it's true for some.

You are correct that Billy Joel wrote this for his daughter Alexa Ray upon the divorce with Christie Brinkley. It is one of my favorite unwinding songs. I wish I had had it when our kids were younger.
