How do you feel about trans people sharing the same loo as you and/or your children?

Hopefully this thread is more about understanding one another and less about being judgemental asses.

i don't give a monkies. if all bathroom stalls were made with doors that actually go most the way to the floor or were just individual stalls, full stop, i don't even see the reason to genderise bathrooms at all

if someone's in there to abuse, there's more evidence showing a trans person is far more likely to be the victim instead of aggressor.

almost everyone's in there to pee or poop. just get the fuck on with it and wash your hands.

if people are concerned about bathroom attacks, bring back the bathroom attendants--like parkies, but for bogs!

MY point of concern when it comes to bathrooms are the dirty fucking lazy buggers who don't leave a stall clean after themselves, leave pee or blood or worse all over the seat, scads of used paper trailing out of the bowl onto the floor! DISGUSTING

I tend not to look at other people in public restrooms so I doubt it would be an issue. I couldn't tell you if I've ever shared a public restroom with a transsexual person....if I did I wasn't aware of it.

Well I don't really wanna walk in and see a load of knobs out!

Try not to get your knickers in a twist, but.

I'm not really comfortable with sharing a bathroom with men. A lot of men dress up as women in Sydney. It's Sydney. Those aren't the men I'm talking about.

People down under are very... How do you say? Protective. Very protective of women in particular. Traditional about men and women having their privacy. Women fought for that right back in the day like they fought for the right to vote and we all respect that.

I'll give you an example. If a bloke decided he wanted to step into the women's bathroom at the club, he'd probably get the shit beaten out of him. Someone would see, the boys would get wind of it and that would be it. So it's very hard for people to adjust. In fact, I'll be honest. I don't see it happening. Our men wouldn't allow it. Left or right. They'll all be convinced they're protecting the women and children.

No, I agree. I wouldn't like going into a bathroom full of men. And not just cos of dangling knobs.

I try not to share my bath with anyone. At my age, I'd better have a free bathroom handy at all times--my system is automatically aware when that's not the case. My wife and I even have separate bathrooms in our home and I won't rent a vacation house that doesn't have two baths for the two of us. This has nothing to do with trans people.

Personally, I wouldn't give a fuck. But I can see why some women might be nervous about it.

I'm just picturing some of you lot at the urinals. Spacekowboy with it dangling looking like Dumbo's mother's trunk coming through the bars of her cage. Lance stood in his portable step. Saint Peter facing the wrong way, the thick cunt.

I mind my own business and expect others to do the same.

I'm extra careful and quick to leave I know that much. Zero eye contact, no talking. We can chat over a beer no worries.

So she passes?

Lance and the little fella Conager pacing the floor of the mens room nervously, waiting for the single "junior size" urinal to become available.

I get that, absolutely.

I'm not sure how things are in your country, but as I said. We're very traditional. We've only just legalised same sex marriage a couple of years ago. By voting on it. It was fucked. Culturally, I feel like trans Australia haven't really been accepted in to mainstream society in general. I think the only way around it down here would be to have a unisex loo, and then have a women and children only loo.

Sounds bad, man. Try mens?

I've spent the majority of my life in the highly populated and diverse north east of the US so there isn't much I haven't seen or find unnerving.
