First off I'd like to let everyone know that Master arrived home safely yesterday, and boy was I glad to see him. We saved the first hug and kiss for after his shower tho...two weeks in field training without a shower and I'm not that much a masochist...lol.

Now for the fun part. Master was happy to see that one of our new toys had arrived while he was gone. A three set of canes. Which he was most anxious to try out. Let me just say this...the first whack nearly sent me to "red" for the first time ever. However, I was able to withstand and move through to the pleasure. Our other new toy arrived today...a Wartenberg Wheel. I can only imagine that Master will be ready to try this little gem out today. I attended the first party of a new all-male spanking club last night. It was fun, but I am not sure if the club will be a success. So I am glad I got to the first party at least.

It was in a hotel suite. There were about 20-25 attendees, mostly in their 30s and 40s, but a few of the more active guys were younger, and there was one man there who told me he was 80, and had never been to anything like this before!
There was a pretty good mix of orientations, but the reason I think this group will have trouble becoming cohesive is that it lacks focus. In my experience, a group like this needs to be built on a pretty strong and relatively narrow definition of what it's all about. For example, in this group some of the guys, especially the younger ones, were into a "fraternity hazing" sort of thing, heavy on the roleplay, while others were more interested in sensual play without all the trappings. I don't think the two styles are likely to get along side by side in such an intimate setting.
But I guess what you really want to know is what I did, don't you?
I got a couple of spankings, one by hand over the knee and the other with a paddle bent over a chair. Like I said, it was fun, but not the most exciting time I ever had.

I think it's most likely one of the two factions will move on and the other will continue, if they keep enough people interested.
In my experience, a small club has to have a pretty strong focus to survive. If you are having parties for a couple of hundred people, you can have a wide range of activities going on, but with a couple dozen, they have to be pretty much all on the same page.
I have no interest in that frat boy type play, so I'm a good example. I won't go to more parties if that style predominates. More power to them in enjoying their scene, but it doesn't interest me. My m/m experience and preference runs more towards the "daddy/boy" type of scene (I hope everyone understands that I am talking about adults role playing, not any involvement with minors)
And I am sure there are people who's feelings are exactly opposite of mine, so I see thsi group either growing fast enough to accomodate both styles, which is unlikely, or splintering into 2 groups, neither of which will be likely to keep enough people coming to survive.

I have belonged to a number of clubs over the years. I am only regularly active in one now,and that one has been around since about 1995. That's a long life for a BDSM club, very few of them seem to hold together for more than a year or two.
