I do not think that Democrats telling Republicans how best to win is being done in a totally honest fashion, I think rather what they are telling them is this is what we fear, so if you jettison it, we will feel better about you for having made the sacrifice of having insufficient number to ever win again, with the additional benefit that we will then easily be able to point to our team the actions of the guilty and now that we know they are guilty by their own admission, then we can sentence them to political irrelevance because they are still the party of all that; they're just lying now to deceive our voters, but we are not about to let that happen.

This is what is known as a run-on sentence. It should have a period after the fourth word.
