Shagly's brother passed away this morning 1/13/06...please send your thoughts/prayers

Hi everyone......

Many of you know Shagly from here on the Playground and other parts of Lit.

This morning I got a phone call from him on my cell (while at my job on
the overnite shift), finding out that his brother passed away early this morning
close to 4am.

I will post what he posted on the Spring of 2003 thread very shortly.

Please post your thoughts and prayers to Shagly here during this difficult
time.....thank you!

Okay here's Shagly's quote from early this AM

Well it's 5:00 AM and I can't get back to sleep after getting a phone call from my brothers kid telling me his father is gone on Friday the 13th.

His father died in Nyack Hospital this morning at 3:50 AM from fluid in the brain and the lungs had fluid in them also.

The paramedics took my brother into the hospital at 1:00 AM and I got the call from my nephew about what happened, Monday my brother stayed home from work due to bed sweating, chills, headache and he could not hold down food, same symptems I had last week, he did call his Dr. and the Dr. was to see him today, it was Monday when my brother made the appointment, If I only checked up on him Thursday morning this would not have happened.

Jimmy ws 52, too young for this stuff to happen, he was smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for 10 years, Wednesday he told me he only had 3 cigarettes all day and the smoke burnt his throat...........it was telling him to stay stopped from tobacco, there was fluid in his lungs and fluid on the brain and he had a cardiac in the E.R. Unit.

Not sure now if I am going back to classes for the Spring semester it is like I am in a twillight zone, it happened and yet I wish it was just a nightmare.

Sorry to hear the news, Shags. It's never easy, but at least he made it through the holidays. Try not to be too hard on yourself. What hapend, would have probably happened anyways.

I heard from Shagly via PM.......the doctor told him that his brother passed away
from a cerebral aneurysm, which stressed the heart, causing the cardiac arrest in
the ER. That type comes all of a sudden.

He's busy making arrangements, etc.....and is very down and crying at
times.....he needs our support and love and caring right now, so please keep
the good thoughts and prayers coming.....thank you.....

wow..eventhough I don't know you I am extremely sorry for something like this to happen. I have experienced a loss recently and can only wish you the best..
While nothing any of us say will make things better you can at least know that people are concerned and are around if and when you need to vent or escape.

Shagly - like others in this thread, you and I have never spoken. None the less, I have experienced many times exactly what you are going through at this moment. I can understand your pain and wish that I could insulate you from what you must be feeling now. You are in my thoughts as well as many others here in this little community. We all hope that the pain will become manageable soon. All I can really say is that time will dull the heartache even if the pain never really leaves.... hang in there....

Today is the first day of the rest of our live's.

totally understandable that you want to stay busy and do stuff around
the house, etc. but please do take some time for yourself such as a nice
bubble bath with rubber duckies.
