Okay, with every other thread you can mention going around out there I figured I'd have to start one close to my heart. I've been a musician nearly all my life so what better topic? I don't really have one single favorite band but right now my top 3 would be Creed, Nickelback, and Incubus. So lets hear from everyone else! Dicuss your favorite band, favorite song or music news, whatever!

I thought I would come dancing around to my favorite tunes while doing my 2000 naked dance in celebration!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love pop, r&b, alternative, country, some rap, heavy metal, rock(hard and soft) and I like classic and will listen to anything in between!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the moment my favorite song is *Hero*.... I don't have a favorite band....I love all music...

Just curious since there's quite a few "Hero" songs floating around right now? The Enrique one or the one from the Spiderman soundtrack?

Enrique...I got into his music and Marc Anthony...the guitar sound is nice... my daughter plays a mean piano and so music is always around...

Ahhh, that would've been my guess. Piano was the one thing I've always wanted to do in music but haven't done yet. I'm not sure if my fingers have enough dexterity for it. Oh well, there's always guitar if not!

Bump my own thread! Does anyone listen to music while cruising through Lit? At any given moment I usually have my headphones on while I'm sitting at my computer. I keep an updated playlist at my website which is off my profile or that neat www button I never noticed till now!

i keep my cd walkman right next to me with my fav mix cd.. full of different punk girl bands.. yeah mainly into punk music.. not muc into the new alternitive or the newer so called punk shit.. love 80's music and classic rock at times

Great topic Shadow..I love country music mostly..Tim McGraw, Montgomery Gentry, Alan Jackson, Lonestar and many more..to many to name.
On the rock side I like Nickelback, Creed and that are alot more I just can not think of their names right now..LOL...

I come from country music roots myself but I rebeled into rock. When I was kid all you would hear on the radio was George Strait, Alabama, ooooold country! Not even new country!

Wow, now that is an interest list! On a side note, I'm vaugely pondering growing out my hair like Scott Stapp (the lead singer of Creed). I don't know about that but all I do know is that my current haircut has to go!

I can handle and endure just about any music. I love music. It is a big part of me. I dont play or sing...even though I would love to. But more often than not, I find myself wanting to crawl into the lyrics of the song and escape for awhile. It is a way for me to calm, relax and truly escape.....

Before all my competitions back in high school someone would either get me really fired up or mad or puppyeyed so that my performance was even more genuine. LOL One girl flashed me once before a contest and I took home 1st chair!

As for the hair, I either want to go long like that or really short and just leave some on top. Decisions, decisions....

Ahhh, that would've been my guess. Piano was the one thing I've always wanted to do in music but haven't done yet. I'm not sure if my fingers have enough dexterity for it. Oh well, there's always guitar if not!

Well I did too but I couldn't find a teacher to teach an adult then my daughter asked to play.... She started to play in 1989 and has been ever since...Her lessons were here at home and I use to cook dinner while she played...it was great... I enjoyed it then and miss it today..

I listen to a wide variety of stuff. Mostly whatever is "IN" at the moment. But I have this thing that I won't normally buy a CD until I Like at least 3 songs on it. Well.... hubby got the new Eminem CD... I LOVE IT!!! True, you gotta get through some of the vulgar stuff, but a lot of it I see as some sort of therapy. *L* Crazy maybe, but he jams on every song. He even has one dedicated to his daughter which is beautifully done. It's amazing what a song can do for you.... make you laugh, cry, even take you back to your childhood
