Mongolian racehorse sold for $250.
Purchased by Eric Pederson for use by the 75mm Recoilless Rifle Platoon of the 5th Marines in Korea during the Korean War
Mare 13-14.1 hands tall and around 900 pounds.
Battle of Nevada Cities, Outpost Vegas, March 26-30 1953 carried over 9000 pounds of ammunition, in 51 trips from the Ammunition Supply Point to the firing lines. With the exception of a few trips, she did this without a handler, alone, and with enemy fire coming in at over 500 rounds per minute.
Damned impressive horse.
