I recently purchased a 'year-in-review' science magazine. The editors included a small retrospective covering the most titilating discoveries on sex published in journals over the past year. They mapped the discoveries over the famous Masters and Johnson four-stage model of the human orgasm. And so without further ado, (verbatim)...

1.EXCITATION: *Men tolerate more pain from female torturers.
*Erotic imagery affects men's decision making.

2.PLATEAU: *Your sexual aptitude is linked to your genes.
*Media buzz builds around sexomniacs, people who inexplicably
have sex while asleep.

3.ORGASM: *Women who engage in a variety of sexual acts are the most
likely to orgasm.
*Sex-induced orgasms release 400% more of the anti-stress
hormone prolactin than masturbation.

4.RESOLUTION: *Sexual intercourse is shown to fight stress better than no
sex (or dry humping).
*Men recall dreams best after sex.

I think the sexsomniac idea could make for a good story.

Um, as compared to male torturers? Now you've got me wondering how many female torturers get put on the payroll...i.e., how did they put this to the test and reach this conclusion?

I have no idea 3113, but it must have been an awkward moment asking for the grant money.

Under the current administration?

Hell, I'll bet they can't give enough away.

As long as they get to see the videos. Ya know, to keep abreast of developments.
