Why on July 4th? In case of a terrorist attack?

LOL. Nothing would surprise me at this point. So far, I'd had:
two wrecks(neither my fault)
a total engine meltdown on my car
a cheating boyfriend discovered
an intestinal tract infection that landed me in the emergency room
a trip to the ER with a roomate who had third degree burns
a robbery at work
and several homemade ice cream disasters.

Today was a good day.

Pretty much. All except for the guy in the hockey mask and the guy with steel claws having a hell of a fight in the street in front of my place. Seems to happen every Friday the 13th.

They all happened on July 4ths over the years, though the wreck and the roommate's trip to the ER were on the same day.

Nothing bad has happened to me today, although the same can't b said for some fo my co-workers. (Well I can't really say that, I was barfed upon but that's nothing altogether new in my line of work.)

One of my co-workers was busted for falsification of paperwork. Another was busted for not taking care of her patients as she was supposed to, then busted for claiming it was a racial issue.

It was, in other words, a fun day for me.
