This thread is inspired by the popular media contests that choose the celebrities that bear these titles and many people's personal disagreements with them. I welcome all to list their personal Gods and Goddesses here. Brief explanations as to reasons for choice and links with further information are welcome.
I'll give it a start:
Sexiest Man Alive- Lance Armstrong
Please note I am straight, but if I were gay, this dude would be at the top of my crush list. The life he has lived and the struggles he has undergone are inspiring to say the least. A lot of good things can also be said of his character. And of course he's in top physical condition. I'm biased, we reside in the same city, but if you Google his name, you may find yourself also liking him. Start here-

Sexiest Woman Alive- Erika Christensen.
It should come as no surprise to my readers that I put this young actress in this position. She is beautiful, talented, and would be interesting to date for many reasons. Say what you will about some of her views, I find her an inspiring person of integrity who deserves all her accolades. I am sure I always will see her this way.
