The How To does not receive that much traffic than the other boards. For quality answers, it often takes several days, depending on the time, day of the week and season.

Believe it or not, some pornstars can act.

As far as I know, which is just reading around on the net and a couple documentaries, the more legit side of the porn industry requires a clean bill of health and regular testing. 'Gonzo' porn is meant to look more amateur/natural and less staged, so that may be the kind of porn you watched. Also, pornstars are often signed to one production company, which means they get to know all the actors on that company's payroll well. Look around at other porn made by the same production company and you'll be able to see that the guys you watched were actors and not random pedestrians.

Seriously, ask yourself what the chances are of some chick in a van pulling up beside the one guy in the vicinity who won't run screaming from the camera and/or call the cops. People just don't respond like that in real life to an unknown situation with total strangers, especially one that's being videotaped.

I've worked a lot with pornstars, and you'd be surprised by how well adjusted a fair number of industry persons are (and perhaps not altogether surprised at some of the others). What you probably saw was an amateur porn shoot at its experimental best, but perhaps at its most unsafe (unless condoms were insisted upon, etc. etc.).

If the van stopped for me -- horn dog that I am, and wet dream scenario that this might have once been -- I'd perhaps still ruefully decline the invitation, and go home and rub one out. I agree it was staged.

As for STI screening, that is NOT standard in the industry. Some companies require at least an HIV test, but the vast majority of companies do not require comprehensive screenings or safer sex practices, such as condoms. And it's not like a clean STI test means much, anyway - one could get tested today and go get infected tonight, then pass whatever they have on to their partner(s) until they're tested again. Plus, STI tests frequently often aren't comprehensive, men aren't tested for HPV, and if there's any anal-oral activity, there are other bugs to worry about.

STIs are pretty rampant in the industry due to the amount of risky behaviors and lack of precautions. Do you remember the HIV outbreak in the CA porn industry a couple of years ago?

Since the girl in that flick really tuns me on we have looked into it more and the video is a Bang Bros production. I was able to see some more and it seems that this is what these guys do. They ride around in a van and pick up girls. I don't know who would do that personally. The guys that these girls get to do the deed with are nasty.
