Which part of a male's anatomy would you cut off if you found him having sex with a 16-year-old girl? For the sake of argument please don't select decapitation.

If somebody wants to run a poll on this then let this thread drop, I have to grab dinner before heading to work, so this is sort of a hurried question.

Well, for me... It would depend. If I found out my daughter was having sex with a guy that much older, then all I would have to do is hand the guy over to my family, and hope they are quick with him.

Now, overall, I don't think any guy over the age of 21 should really be interested in having sex with a girl under the age of 17. I know, once you get older, it's not the same, but those are are not formitive years.

If you have to drop her off, and pick her up from school, stay away. If yuo have to make sure mommy and daddy don't know, stay away. If you have to ask other people what age she should be, stay away.

As GB pointed out, it depends; I had sex with a 15 year old, but I was 17 at the time. She was just a few days over 17 when I had sex with her and got her pregnant, but then I was 19.

My point is, I don't think sex between people under 21 is that easy to formulate an answer for - it depends on their age and the age difference.

Let me return the answer; what part of Mary Kay Letourneau (36)would you cut off for having sex with that 14 year old boy. There have been several other case like that too; a 49 year old female teacher who is accused of having sex with a 15 year old special ed student.

It is not just males that are the sexual predators.

I think the Tennessee age is wrong. 18 is when a girl is too old to marry. I agree with the states that have two different laws depending on the age of the guy.

No, I for one admire teachers for doing a difficult job for little pay and recognition. Teaching is a noble profession. Where would we be without teachers (in whatever form)?

I totally agree and the female should go to prison too. Why cut off anything? That means they are still free to roam the street and find another minor and that minor could one day be my daughter. If an adult cannot control their sexual urges around children they need intensive therapy. <In my best Forrest Gump voice>"And that's all I have to say about that".

Oh come on PPM; surely you have hear the axiom that goes something like this - "Not everything that is illegal is immoral, and not everything that is legal is moral".

Yes, sex between a 28 year old man and a 16 year old girl is wrong, for all of the reasons that everybody has been pointing out, but you apparently just don't get.

Well, my daughter was having sex at about that age, but it wasn't with a 28 year old man, so that is irrelevant.

I can assure you that at 16 a girl is NOT a woman. She may think she is a woman, she may even look like a woman but she is still a girl. And she is still the responsibility of her parents until she is 18. I was 16 once (yeah its been awhile) but I KNOW for a fact that even though I though I was an adult, I really was not. A 16 year old girl is not prepared for the consequences of the lust of a 28 year old man. Is there not enough adult women to go around that men have to revert to seeking out children for sex?

I've met a few, very few, 28 year old men in my life who could be considered still children.

I was just querying the reasoning behind LukkyKnight's post.

What is now emerging is that even if the law says the girl is legal, and people disagree with the law, then they have the right to extract vicious revenge.

As long as the male is not more than 1-3 years older than the girl then everything is OK.

It sounds to me that people are confused as to what it is they really want.

Ok, i think alot of people are really missing the point here.

The point is, if a person over 18 has sex with a person under 18, it is wrong. Yes, I know, most people won't be anal over a 17 year old having sex with an 18 year old. HOWEVER, the point we are discussing, is what we would want to do if a 28 year old were to attempt to have sex with a 16 year old.

Reguardless of whether its my daughter or son, I would not be to happy, and that person WOULD end up in a nice comfortable jail cell somewhere, reaping the health benifits off the tax payers, while watching cable TV. And, I hope, getting raped nightly by Bubba, and his friends.

Everyone here has common sense (least, I hope so). Were I to find out my 16 year old daughter had sex with her 17 year old boyfriend, would I be happy? No.

Would I rip his balls off? Likely not, but I would have a fleeting urge.

Would I go after him legally? Hell no.

Now. were I to find out the guy was 27, not 17, then Yes, I would.
